750ml corked and caged bottle from Bottle and Cans in Chicago, with a bottle date of 10/11/13. Shared with bananabi11. At cellar temperature. Reddish brown pour. Beige head. Aroma has fruits, nuts, caramel, light wood raisin . Berry/caramel heavy. Taste is of sweet caramel, berries, other fruits, some wood alcohol. Licorice. Raisin. Maybe some barrel. Medium to full bodied. Lowly carbonated, the blend is solid. Definite alcohol. Finishes tangy sweet. Not sure if the aging was a positive or not. Solid taste but not great. 14.4 hershiser2 (3667) - Charlottesville, Virginia, USA - MAY 27, 2016

Pours a deep amber color, with a two finger off white head that had some staying power. Aromas of hops, sweet malts, and some more hops. Flavor isn’t as sweet as I was led to believe. You can taste the alcohol from the get go, what follows is a nice mellow caramel/brown sugar (I Guess) sweetness that finishes with a nice bitter hop. cfrancis (3574) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 24, 2016
Pours dark brown to black with light beige wisp and ring. Aroma is sweet, sweet bourbon, raisins and a little black currant. Taste is mainly sweet bourbon, touch of smoke, lightly bitter from the hops. This is bottled in 2013 so a lot of the hops have fallen off but still a lot of bite from the alcohol. Excellent beer. stevoj (5586) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 19, 2016
Bottle from Whole Foods. Not much to look at, but a pleasure to drink. Bourbon barrel aging smooths out the entire package, making this one an easy to drink BW. Malts shine throughout, tons of caramel, toffee and butterscotch. Not much of the BA is readily evident, just subtle notes here and there, and toning down the 11% ABV to drinkable levels.

Bottled 07/29/13. (aged review)
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a soft burnt brown color with a thin wisp of a white little head. Delicate messy lacing wove around the glass.
The smell started off with dried dark fruits. Sweetness from the dried dark fruits rolls into a nice dried woody aroma.
The flavor takes in the dried woody flavor with a nice sweet dying bourbon flavored dark fruitiness. Dry woody aftertaste and a semi-sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sipping to sessionable quality about it. Carbonation has definitely died off. Very dry and pounding on my tongue.
Overall, its still a good Barleywine leaning towards the English side of the wheelhouse. I’d like to try again fresher. Still,, I believe this one aged nicely. weihenweizen (4127) - Charleston Area, West Virginia, USA - JAN 30, 2016
Refrigerated 75 cl brown bottle poured into a snifter. Opaque Amber with small beige head. Aroma is rich caramel, medium body, medium carbonation, and some lacing. Taste is caramel malt. A little heavy. kingaugusta (286) - Georgia, USA - JAN 9, 2016
Pours hazy copper with a big tan head. Nose is strange for a barley wine withfruit and tart notes far more akin to a saison. Oak and fruit hit hard on the front and blends to a whiskey accented charge of vanilla, hops, and barely onthe back. FFinish is long and smooth. Great beer.
