Detour blazes the trail for fresh and bold Double IPAs. Four varieties of hops combine to step up the flavor profile. A hoppy adventure that finishes dry. Big in alcohol and character. Venture to pair with other spirited flavors such as those found in spicy ethnic foods.

Dark golden color with solid foam. Classic hop profile, similar to their Hop Notch but a much stronger malt base due to the higher ABV.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass at Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a clear orange color with a large off-white head. The aroma is pine and oranges. The taste is spiced oranges with some pine hops. A very nice beer.

12 fl oz. from local Alko, Viikki. Simply love this kind of IPA. This skilfully made brew reminds me of saying: The few who do are the envy of the many who watch. - Jim Rohn. Loving the exotic fruits!

Nice DIPA from Utah, where, when last I bicycled through, had some pretty restrictive laws regarding alcohol in general and the strength of brews allowed. Hats off to Uinta for thriving in this environment. DIPA is my wheelhouse, and this one definitely fits my favored profile. Aroma is malty with citrus, ale is full flavored citrus and hops, pine and booze. Solid, straight down the middle DIPA which leaves no lingering bitterness (which I quite dislike). Wish I had another!

Aroma: fresh and hoppy; Appearance: slightly hazy amber pour with thin white head that lingers; Taste: very rich and hoppy; smooth; malty; Palate: medium-heavy body with long, rich finish; Overall: quite good but one would be enough. Would get again.

Clear, dark copper color with a slightly off-white head. A lot of tropical fruit aromas (pineapple, mango, tangerine). Arrives on palate very sweetfruits and caramel up front. Finishes with mild, lingering piney/pithy bitterness. Medium body & carb; surprisingly dry aftertaste despite how sweet it arrives. Really nice DIPA that starts to borderline a barleywines sweetness & body, but it still has a lot of hops to pull it back.
