Maybe little old by now and lost some zip from this bottle but good brew. Nice pine, and citrus aroma. Orange body with off white head that disapated rather quick. Good citrus sugary hop kick like a DIPA. Alcohol wears you down or I was just tied after work. Good beer
I love IPAs and double IPAs are great as well, but this one is way too malty and doesn't have enough bitterness to cut through the sweetness of the malt.
It's clear from the description on the can though that it's malty, so I should have known better.

Intense bitterness of ripe melon, grapefruit, lemon, and some nice spicing. Juicy palate, dry finish. Fine lacing and a good bitter hop character. yy0pp (1544) - - AUG 8, 2017

Rating #2649 2016.06.28 - Bottle brought back from Utah. Pours a darker amber, with a bubbly tan head. Aroma is spicy, earthy hops, mild citrus sweetness, lots of piney, resinous notes, again subtle citrus sweetness in the flavour. Fairly balanced in terms of hop profile, and managing the ABV, this is a pretty average IIPA fiery_1 (1388) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 29, 2017
Draught @ PREfunk, Boise. Pours a clear amber brown colour with a small white head. Nose is resinous piney sweet hops. Flavour is quite malty sweet with a semi grassy resinous pine hop character with a pithy citrus twist in the finish.

Massive citrus pine aroma in an amber pour. Hop forward balance with a big caramel fruit malt body and finish. Way easy drinking (dangerously so) but more like a TIPA overall. Would I have another? Yes, indeed I would! oobawa (1508) - Tennessee, USA - JUL 5, 2017
Caramel apple-sweet DIPA, with a boozy orange marmalade backbone and a resinous pinecone finish. Drinkable, but the heavy, heavy malts almost push it into barleywine territory, eventually overcoming the hop goodness and growing cloy as the pint warms. Clingy IBUs help the fade, but overall much too sweet for another glass. Alcohol warmth grows as well. Pretty, though, and the dank-citrus nose is inviting. Can from Das Stahl Bierhaus. It poured a dark gold with a white head. The aroma is resinous pine and citrus. It has a bitter taste. Goodgrief (2039) - Middletown, Delaware, USA - JUN 29, 2017
On tap at Taverna. Ciderlike color, thin head, good lacing. Boozy tangerine aroma. Flavor profile was similar. Ripe orange, citrusy zest. Sweet but just enough bite to make it not cloying. Enjoyable. natejgood (517) - Bozeman, Montana, USA - JUN 11, 2017
Deep amber with tiny bubbles rising diligently to the top to support the bottom of a relatively medium sized but sturdy looking head. Small craters form in the top of the head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine and resin. Aroma is actually pretty delicious. Flavor has a lot of malt and light clover honey. The hop flavor is there but is a little muddled. This beer is a bit syrupy in the mouth, which isn’t uncommon with a double IPA but the flavor doesn’t help to cut this one. The aroma is by far the best part of this beer. The rest isn’t bad but is a little disappointing just because the initial whiff of the beer is so good.
