Detour blazes the trail for fresh and bold Double IPAs. Four varieties of hops combine to step up the flavor profile. A hoppy adventure that finishes dry. Big in alcohol and character. Venture to pair with other spirited flavors such as those found in spicy ethnic foods.

Big bottle uncorked, cloudy orange brown ice tea like pour with heavy cream head that sticks to the glass, smells or caramel malt syrup, thick spicy taste, herbs, pine hop with a spicey bitter aftertaste, almost some lingering cinnamon, Uinta does not disappoint

Deep amber with tiny bubbles rising diligently to the top to support the bottom of a relatively medium sized but sturdy looking head. Small craters form in the top of the head. Aroma of grapefruit, pine and resin. Aroma is actually pretty delicious. Flavor has a lot of malt and light clover honey. The hop flavor is there but is a little muddled. This beer is a bit syrupy in the mouth, which isn’t uncommon with a double IPA but the flavor doesn’t help to cut this one. The aroma is by far the best part of this beer. The rest isn’t bad but is a little disappointing just because the initial whiff of the beer is so good.

12oz can. Pours hazy dark orange, medium white head. Piney ripe grapefruit nose. Full bodied, with flavors of candied orange peel, caramel, molasses, generous dose of bittering hops. Alcohol not hot but evident. Somewhat thick and sweet in the mid-palate then dries off a little for the lingering bitter, orange finish.

Pours the color of pumpkin pie, dark and murky, suspended particulate. Hearty ivory colored head, cascading lace. Aroma is heavy in citrus, grapefruit, strawberry, reeds on a warm day. Full and somewhat creamy feel. More citrus, orange peel, traces of caramel on the back end. Mild burn going down. Well balanced, well made.

czar (8996) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 29, 2017
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2017 pours unclear medium dark golden orange with a nice reviving off-white cap offering some retention and lacing. very doughy and meaty mangoes, kind of buttery melons, candied orange fruitiness as well, underlying caramel perhaps, sweet pine gum, maple water, lots of peppery and piney alcohol, fruity yeast. moderate carbonation, medium body - very oily; sweet, assertive and burning hot spicy-resinous finish. hearty and dank but unfortunaley stingingly very piney and boozy. o-k.

Poured from a 12 OZ can into a pint glass at Taco Mac in Atlanta. The appearance is a clear orange color with a large off-white head. The aroma is pine and oranges. The taste is spiced oranges with some pine hops. A very nice beer.

12 fl oz. from local Alko, Viikki. Simply love this kind of IPA. This skilfully made brew reminds me of saying: “The few who do are the envy of the many who watch.” - Jim Rohn. Loving the exotic fruits!

kustie (1156) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAR 17, 2017
Bottle. Ambercolor with off-white head. Aroma has grass, pine, needles and some tropical fruits. Taste is fruity and a bit sweet with long bitter and quite dry aftertaste. Flavors of pine, needles, citrus and tropical fruits.

Flarra rest krokius. Doftar tungt lite vinöst. Ja blåa druvor med övermoget äpple. (Kanske gammal Dipa?) Smakar likt doften dock med rätt fräsch medelbeska. Låångt efteråt kommer de där barren. Åh dessa tallbarr är av sämre kvalite. Ett dåligt trä kanske? Njaaee ingen vidare Dipa. Åh det du nu undrar. Skulle jag välja denna dåliga Dipa framför alla sk Jul öl som finns tillgå på ett svenskt julbord? Självklart är svaret .
