Pours mahogany-tinged black into an English pint. Mocha head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Dark caramel, chocolate and soy aromas. Medium bodied with chocolate and licorice upfront turning to earthy espresso in the lasting finish. Cybercat (5840) - Georgia, USA - JUL 26, 2013
Pours a deep, warm sable just a whisker above black with a fairly thick and somewhat persistent tan head. Aroma tempts with notes of licorice, vanilla and chocolate and a hint of bourbon. Flavor fills the mouth with vanilla, licorice, coffee, chocolate and bourbon tones. Firm texture is fairly fizzy, a little thicker than most porters I have tried. After a couple of these you’ll feel as if you’re at sea. TimE (5817) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 18, 2013
Pitch black color. Hazelnut dark fruit, chocolate and vanilla in the nose.
Very rich, lots if dark fruit, plums, port, vanilla beans, chocolate and a splash of brandy in the mouth. Very nice and rounded. Very warming finish that feels like taking down fudge soaked in vanilla. Fantastic beer, not sure if so authentic to style but totally awesome. Never had a Baltic porter like this.

Bottle at THT. Dark brown pour with tan foam. Aroma is roasty, black pepper, light cocoa, chocolate. Taste is desserty, chocolate cake, light vanilla. Palate is light, a bit light and watery but easy drinking. snoworsummer (5697) - baltimore, Maryland, USA - DEC 9, 2016
Bottle from the brewery. Pours dark brown with a bubbly, frothy beige head. Tastes like chocolate malt, burnt toast, roasted coffee, and creamy with a hint of dried fruits. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like chocolate malt, burnt toast, roasted coffee, dried fruits, and chocolate syrup. ClubGonzo (5670) - Bergen, NORWAY - JUL 20, 2014
Bottle. Pours a pitch black body with a massive light beige rocky head of considerable longevity. Aroma is cold coffee, leather, licorice, hints of freshly cut grass, dark berries and pine. Taste is coffee, pine, licorice, leather and hints of dark malts, dark berries and milk chocolate. Full body, soft to medium carbonation. Although a bit off the regular style profile for a Baltic Porter as far as I’m concerned, a pleasant porter from Uinta all in all. superspak (5601) - Michigan, USA - JUL 3, 2013
750 ml bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/21/2012. Pours pitch black color with a 2 finger dense tan head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big milk chocolate, caramel, toffee, cocoa, roasted malt, toast, vanilla, oak, bourbon, light coffee, and roasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of roasted and dark malt notes with moderate barrel presence; and good strength. Taste of milk chocolate, toast, caramel, toffee, cocoa, roasted malt, oak, clove, vanilla, bourbon, light coffee, and roasted earthiness. Slight roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of milk chocolate, caramel, toast, toffee, cocoa, roasted malt, vanilla, oak, clove, bourbon, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of dark and roasted malt flavors with barrel presence; with good robustness and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a creamy, smooth, and slightly chalky mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is an excellent barrel aged Baltic porter. All around nice balance, complexity, and robustness of dark and roasted malt flavors with moderate barrel presence; and very smooth to sip on for 8%. A very enjoyable offering.
