As I inch up on 5000 with some stellar beers ... here’s another beauty. Dark, brooding. The aroma is pure sexuality .. rich with dark fruit, and even a little bit smoke. This is an amazing drink, as well. Full-bodied, a bit ashy, but rife with rich, roiling flavors of chocolate, raisin, rye, coffee, and any other rich, dark flavor you can think of. Brilliant. Pours black with a large tan head. Smells smoky and chocolaty. Taste is roast, smoke, and hints of chocolate. Medium-bodied with a silky texture and soft mouth-carbonation, Uinta Crooked Line Sea Legs Baltic Porter finishes with a mild smokiness. GG (2332) - NorCal, California, USA - NOV 22, 2013
On tap at 10 East. Clearly the best BP I have ever had, and there’s no two-ways about it. Huge in every way possible. Loads of bourbon and dark fruit in the aroma, cocoa, light wood, toffee and black licorice. The aroma is just as stunning with tons of chocolate covered raisins, vanilla, bourbon, treacle, and figs. In a blind tasting I’m betting this could pass as a impy stout. Cbertram (2) - - FEB 5, 2013 does not count
Love this beer! Interesting and different to me. I taste a string bold porter with a after taste of some sort of whiskey. I love this and it's different to me. In will buy this again.

Another fabulous beer from Uinta in their Crooked Line series. Poured this one at a good temperature with an enormous, foamy, thick, creamy, fluffy, tan head that settles so slowly and good lacing. Color is a barely translucent black brown. Aroma is a nice blend of roast, malt, cocoa, old leather, a small amounts of coffee, dark ripe fruit, tree bark, earth. Body is excellent but carbonation is a bit soft. Finish is like flavor, slightly boozy, easy drinking.

Black with a large tan head. Aroma is chocolate with a slight bit of earthiness. Flavor is chocolate with a bit of spice, somewhat reminiscent of a mole sauce. Very warming with a nice bittersweet finish.

Pours a deep, warm sable just a whisker above black with a fairly thick and somewhat persistent tan head. Aroma tempts with notes of licorice, vanilla and chocolate and a hint of bourbon. Flavor fills the mouth with vanilla, licorice, coffee, chocolate and bourbon tones. Firm texture is fairly fizzy, a little thicker than most porters I have tried. After a couple of these you’ll feel as if you’re at sea. halfwayhouse (14) - - NOV 19, 2013
Very well balanced smooth beer with flavors of chocolate and vanilla. Nicely done. DavoleBomb (1867) - Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 17, 2015
Poured into a perfect pint.
3.75 A: Black color. Three fingers of frothy light brown head. Retention is pretty good and a few whisps of lacing are left.
5.0 S: This has a world class nose. Powerful, complex, and well integrated. Moderate roastiness, but overall is quite sweet. Tons of tangy molasses with layers of chocolate and caramel. Hints of coffee and fig. I didn’t list a lot of descriptors, but what I did list runs deep.
4.25 T: The taste is very good, but can’t compare with the nose. Layers of chocolate and caramel, moderate roastiness. Fig and maybe some currant and prune fruitiness. Like the nose, molasses is the focus.
4.5 M: Heavier medium to heavy body. Good moderate carbonation. Creamy with a slippery velvet texture. Super smooth.
4.5 D: Really great brew. Buy it for the taste, love it for the nose. This reminds me a good deal of Marshal Zhukov, which I adore.

Outstanding!! Nice run. Hope they continue this one. Pours a beautiful dark molasses color, gorgeous tan creamy head. Rich espresso, dark chocolate, and malty flavor. One of the best ever -- and great 750ml bottle with champagne style cork and cage. Very cool. Sea Legs from Utah. Too funny.
