Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

3/5/14. Draft at Surf Club. Wonderful piney nose. Goes down smooth. Nice drinking over an evening without bowing out your palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUL 14, 2014 Six pack of cans from Argonaut. Here’s one that I can’t believe I haven’t rated before. I’ve been drinking this stuff on the reg since it came out to North Carolina and now it’s a staple in my fridge in Colorado. This one surprised me with it’s intense aroma and flavor from the get go. Lots of pine, grapefruit and dank herbs. The nose seems endless. Great palate on this one. Tons of hop flavor ranging from grapefruit to lemon to pine to herbs to grass. The malts are clean, just there enough, with a wheaty back bone. The finish resonates with loads of herb. This is definitely in my top 10 IPAs.

I’m trying to figure out why Uinta changed the name to Hop Nosh. Hop Notch has been around for a little while, slowly garnering a following. Then they make a subtle change from a name that makes sense as a clever pun on "top notch" to something that doesn’t really make sense and don’t change anything else: not the graphic on the label, not the recipe. I don’t get it. Still an awesome IPA though. Spot-on hop profile, pretty much perfect palate for the style, great finish that leaves hints of grapefruit, green tea and herbs in the mouth. oh, and it comes in cans. win.

Went to Liquor Galaxy to get my Hop Notch, er, Hop Nosh on. They only had bottles. Fine. At least they were fresh. I am very pleased with my purchase. Also, I am starting to wonder if Uinta uses hop extract on this one. That’s not necessarily a bad thing as this beer still has fantastic clarity, complexity and balance. Good job, Uinta. If no extract is present, this is even more impressive.

Uinta Hop Nosh IPA is everything you would expect in a IPA. Nice floral aroma coming from an amber pour with a nice head. Taste is a mix of floral hop notes without a big bitter finish. Hop Nosh is a decent representation of the style.

Clear orange pour with a creamy single finger head. Lace is present. Slightly dish soap like. Lots of citrus and dank fruits, but not overwhelming. Grassy with some hints of melon. Refreshing and dry. Medium bodied mouth.

Pours a straight-up orange translucent color. Tons of thick, foamy white head dirties my glass and overstays its welcome.

Smells nice, but lacks the pungent hop punch of its peers. Hops bounce on & off the palate; fresh citrus for a few moments before things turn bitter. Finishes with lingering bitterness and traces of citrus. Pretty nice.

Pours a cloudy orange. Thick, long lasting off-white head. Smells of grapefruit and pine. Taste very similar to how it smells. Very sharp pine followed by a candy like grapefruit and tangerine. Bitterness lingers but isn't overwhelming. There is a nice resiny finish. Very refreshing beer. Good west coast IPA.

On tap. Pine aroma. Citrusy, bitter hops with a sweeter finish. A bit sticky in the back of the throat.

Can. Pours a dark amber wit a high, creamy, large-grained off-white head. Nose is a nice balance of floral and citrus, with orange and hollyhock predominant. Bitter on the front of the tongue, but with an oddly hollow mid-palate. I just don’t get much beyond the initial burst of hops. Finish is light and a bit flaccid. Enh.

Orange-golden pour with a white head. The aroma has some pine and floral notes as well as a good bit of biscuit malt. The flavor is a mix of orange citrus with some pine and biscuit malt. Low bitterness with a good bit of sweet malt notes. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.
