Formerly known as Hop Notch. Wonderful complex flavos, like no other, simply a great tasting IPA. It’s balanced, strong malt backbone, citrusy nose, with hints of pine and grass.

Can 12oz. [As "Notch"> Pours golden with medium light-beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of tropical fruits, citrus, strawberries, malt. Taste is of tropical fruits, bitterness, citrus, sweetness. Resin, vegetality. Palate: Light-medium body. Good balance. Overall: Quite hoppy. A good IPA. Drinkable. Not too complex. Does the job.

Can (12 oz). As "Hop Notch IPAA". Clear golden/orange with a frothy off-white head and intense lacing. Aroma is of piney hops, grapefruits and malt. Taste is slightly sweet with resinous presence, grapefruits, malt/caramel and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly oily and slightly dry finish. Pretty straightworward, but not bad at all. Drinkable.

Tasted from can. Pours a clear gold with white head. Big citrus aroma with hint of pine. Taste is citrus hops, pine, flowers. Just enough malt to balance it well. Nice crisp dry bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good IPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste pine, citrus, lightly bitter. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a translucent gold. Hoppy, wheat aromas. Has the expected hoppy bitterness. Dry finish with a very subtle sweet afternote. Good IPA.

Good beer that is a poor example of style. Reminds me more of an apa. More pine and acidic tastes than bitterness. Slightly watery.

Right now the IPA market seems inundated as of late. But having said that breweries like Ballast Point and Brewdog’s seem to nail it all day. This one, not so much. Golden hue. Way too foamy head. The hoppiness is there but seems a bit typical. It lacks that extra kick, that would set it off. Citrusy. Cloying wash. It’s a very safe brew but if I was to see this again at a store I might look but I will pass by it in search of a better brew.

Just a really piny beer. Very hoppy as the name indicates but the flavor didn’t wow me. I’m not on an ipa kick but this didn’t lure me back

Can: damn solid IPA. One of the best you can buy. Great balance of hops, yeast, and malt. Could drink for days. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
