Marstonlad (976) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAY 10, 2017
Can from Alko, Helsinki. Pours cloudy amber with a big, frothy head. The aroma features hops in abundance: citrusy fruitiness with pine and resin; perhaps also a sweetish malty element lurking in the background. Taste is initially light sweet and malty, as indicated by the aroma, and then turns bitter and hoppy; bitterness is definitely above medium but does not reach brutal levels. Hoppy flavours of grapefruit, pine needles and orange sweep aside malty flavours. The palate is medium to full-bodied, average in carbonation. Very tasty, solid work.

Decent IPA, big cat pee nose with a grapefruit-pine soul. Comes off a little too sweet, in need of some IBU anger on the back end, but no major complaints. Looks good, feels good.

UPDATED: FEB 17, 2017 Can purchased at Gomer’s. Moderate carbonation, full mouthfeel. Heavy on the hops initially, finishes with a hint of wheat. Fresh and crisp, yet still bitter so you get that classic ipa taste.
