Poured from Hop Notch can into tulip. Pours a orange amber with a short lasting white head. Co2 on the softer side. Aroma of grapefruit and grass. Taste is citrus, malt, and pine. The malt comes through a little more than the citrus. Lace on glass after head receded to glass edge. Finish was a bitter citrus. Mouth feel was thin but slick. Enjoyable. 12 oz. can says Hop Notch. Appearance: small white head, great lace, straw color, clear. Aroma: floral hops, orange peel, wheat, caramel. Palate: average carbonation, light body, sticky texture, dry and bitter lasting finish. Taste: caramel sweetness up front, then right into bitterness. Overall, a little unbalanced for me and nothing to stand out in the vast fields of hoppy beers. VTHopHead (1511) - Seymour, Tennessee, USA - FEB 9, 2014
Found as "Hop Notch IPA" in Williston, VT. - Draft - Poured a nice orangish-amber in color with a small white head. Nice hoppy aroma... piney with citrus. Flavor was citrus/lemon with some pine resin that lingered. Medium dry, bitter finish. Liked it! Vir4030 (603) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Found as "Hop Notch IPA" in Chicago. Pours from a bottle into a DFH IPA glass. Good color medium-to-light gold and clear. THick head with big bubbles, very nicely holding up. I’m sure the glass gave this extra head, but I think that’s the point so no points off there. Aroma has a distinct apricot and alcohol and a bit sour like a lager. Nice hoppy flavor, a bit bitter dry finish. Chudwick (3273) - Taylor Mill, Kentucky, USA - FEB 7, 2014
12oz bottle - grapefruit and resin nose. Sip is less specific in its citrus qualities. Fairly bitter. malty backbone: yes.

Pours golden with medium light-beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of tropical fruits, citrus, strawberries, malt. Taste is of tropical fruits, bitterness, citrus, sweetness. Resin, vegetality. Palate: Light-medium body. Good balance. Overall: Quite hoppy. A good IPA. Drinkable. Not too complex. Does the job. tom10101 (6195) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 6, 2014
Can (12 oz). As "Hop Notch IPAA". Clear golden/orange with a frothy off-white head and intense lacing. Aroma is of piney hops, grapefruits and malt. Taste is slightly sweet with resinous presence, grapefruits, malt/caramel and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Slightly oily and slightly dry finish. Pretty straightworward, but not bad at all. Drinkable. RRistow12 (918) - Lewis Center, Ohio, USA - FEB 6, 2014
Tasted from can. Pours a clear gold with white head. Big citrus aroma with hint of pine. Taste is citrus hops, pine, flowers. Just enough malt to balance it well. Nice crisp dry bitter finish. Medium bodied. Very good IPA.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours gold with a white head. Taste pine, citrus, lightly bitter. I thought this was good. I could drink this again.

Pours a translucent gold. Hoppy, wheat aromas. Has the expected hoppy bitterness. Dry finish with a very subtle sweet afternote. Good IPA.
