If they made beer cologne and if they dont they should this wouldnt be a bad place to start.

STYLE: American IPA

ABV: 7.3%

LOOK: Creamy head sits nicely atop a surprisingly clear amber, more vinegar than oil. Slow but persistent carbonation up the gut. I can tell already, the lacing, its there.

NOSE: Classic West Coast IPA. Sugared grapefruit right away. Also orange. Also pineapple. And also nectarines. Theres a wonderful little piney note, like if you took a citrus cocktail and stirred it with just a needle or two. Tempting and coy.

MOUTH: It cant replicate the nose, and thats a shame because I had orgasmic hopes for a mouth parade. What I need here is some sweet honey tang and something that sticks in my gums for a minute. This, Im afraid, is too light to be excellent. But not to get too caught up in the negatives, because there are some, lets cover the positives. Because there are just as many. Sharper pine without being overwhelming. Clever bitterness. And a nice malty gulp.

Bottle. BBE date Oct 2016; Drank Sept 2016 - Hazy Orangey Gold in colour. Large foamy off-white head. Fantastic lacing. Very Fruity; zesty grapefruit and orange citrus, peel, rind. Hoppy; resinous piney hops, dank and rather herbal. Spicy; mildly peppery. Malty; bready malts, caramel/toffee. Good fruit/hop/spice/malt balance. Bittersweet citrus fruity hoppy throughout. Assertively bitter fruity hoppy and dry into finish. Excellent considering so near to BBE date. Enjoyed this. Good stuff. Solid IPA! (2016-09-29)

Can. Beauteous beer in the copper-orange vicinity. Also nails mouthfeel and aroma. The flavor brings the less grapefruity side of citrus, and Im getting only a touch of pine. Doesnt feel like 80 IBU to me either, but maybe I got an older, faded can. Almost too easy. Nice enough malt body though. Pretty good, and it is nice to see Utah get in on the beer action.

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2017 35,5cl bottle from Alko Arkadia, Helsinki. Pours clear deep golden to amber with an off-white head. Rather intense hoppy, dominated by citrus, pine and herbs, some fruity notes, malt and hints of grass. Moderate to medium sweet with quite intense hoppy flavours and an almost harsh bitterness. A bit over the top for my case, but fair enough,

Ewww, stinky harsh hop aroma, sweet malts too. Tastes similar, stale over-stewed black tea. Harsh bitter palate, sweet and sticky too. Highly unpleasant beer, nothing right about this at all.
