UPDATED: FEB 23, 2013 12 oz. bottle- Pours mostly clear orange with a one finger head that reduces to a blanket. Aroma is very hoppy, citrusy and pine, light malt. Taste is wonderfully hoppy, pine, malt is there but not in your face thankfully. Body is medium and carbonation is slightly high. Overall I really liked this, lately it seems all I have had in IPAs is the balanced more malty than Id like type, this does not shy away from the hops, which is awesome.

Nice offering but not as robust as some of their beers. Good hop flavor but it left a little bit of bitterness which wasnt enjoyable.

Sample from 12oz bottle. Pours a clear copper with off white head. Aroma of mild spicy hops, pine, orange, grapefruit with offsetting sweet malts. The taste is similar with a balancing finish. Very easy drinking as it was a bit light on the bitterness. More so than I typically like but the balance was there.

On tap at Taco Mac. Pours copper with a small head. The aroma is caramel, orange rinds, and some earthy notes. The flavor is pleasantly bitter, with a good malt backbone. The palate is light to medium and uneventful. This is a good IPA, but doesnt really stand out.

Can. Pours a clear rusty copper gold pour with a small tight head. Nose is deep citrus with shades of pine and resin. Taste is bitter right up front, with more resin and pine that follows, the citrus has a grapefruit backbone. Finish is bitter with moderate lingering of the tasting notes. Quaff Score 7 / 10
