Harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener and a stroll down the craft-brewed beer aisle. Four+ Punkín Ale is the pick of the crop with notes of roasted pumpkin and seasonal spices. Savory. Crisp. The sweetness is in the celebration, not on the palate.

Can. Pours a medium caramel, slightly hazy with a boozy head. Aromas light canned pumpkin, light caramel, slight grass, slight pepsi, and slight clove. Flavors light caramel, slight pumpkinish (?), light clove, light grass. Light to medium sweet and light all around. Not much going on with this.

UPDATED: OCT 11, 2016 1st rating 1/4/2016: This was alright. Not bad at all. Nice easy to drink pumpkin ale. Not overly spicy with cinnamon/nutmeg/allspice flavor but yet still had some good pumpkin feel. Crisp and clean on the palate. 2nd rating 10/11/2016: I get the nutmeg flavor and some other spices- a tad bit of allspice, maybe some ginger and cinnamon. But the pumpkin just isnít there enough to warrant the "Punkín" title nor have a pumpkin on the label. Not sweet at all. Some mild bitterness. Crisp drink.

Can. Semi hazy amber beer with a large beige head. Aroma is spicy with notes of caramel, nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Flavor is malty with notes of caramel, bread, cinnamon, cloves, vanilla and dried fruit. A bit too sweet.

12oz can. Pours slightly hazy burnt orange in color. Aroma of nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, pumpkin, bread. Flavor of nutmeg, cinnamon, pumpkin. A decent beer, flavors are good, but nothing that stands out. I will say that this is a pumpkin beer that you could actually have more than one as the spices are more muted and not overwhelming.

This tends to fall more toward the "forgettable pumpkin beer" end of the pumpkin beer spectrum. Itís good, donít get me wrong, and Uinta is a great company, but I couldnít pick this out of a lineup of pumpkin beers if you told me one of them, like, killed my uncle Ben or something.

Sweet, malty aroma with a bit of wood and vegetality in the background. Slightly hazy pumpkin orange color with a small but persistent white head. The flavor is more light amber ale than a pumpkin ale, but there is a slight hint of sweet pumpkin in the taste. Body is thin but with a light vanilla creaminess. I donít detect any "pumpkin spice" here, although. thereís a note of dried leaves in the middle thatís really nice. A nice, tasty autumn seasonal ale.

Draught at Sweet Cheeks, late Summer 2015.
Clear, soft peachy-gold body is topped by a white head with moderate retention.
Vanilla, light cinnamon and pumpkin meat in the nose is dotted with brown sugar, toasted malt and lots of bread.
Straightforward roasted pumpkin meat flavor, replete with ample but not overdone sugars and a good restraint on the spicing. Toasted baguette, buttercream and an ample carbonation provide a pretty balanced backing to the pumpkin. Nothing terribly out-of-the-ordinary, but definitely above average in the pumpkin beer category, in my book.

Pours orange with a thick white head. Favors pumpkin spice over balance. The bready malt base is disguised by the overwhelming sweetness.
