Overall, this is a great pumpkin beer. There is an inviting abundance of pumpkin, spice, and caramel in each sip. The finish is smooth and warm. I also enjoyed the plain and rustic packaging. While that’s not extremely important, it’s a nice +1. thetmaxx (917) - West Sacramento, California, USA - OCT 14, 2012
Wow, maybe one of the best pumpkins evers! I’m surprised its rated so low. Mild spicing of cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Taste is of pumpkin and caramel malts. Palate finishes real sweet and sticky. The color is a nice clear orange. This was up there with dogfish head. mikedR (1561) - Gilbert, Arizona, USA - MAR 26, 2013
Oddly, this is a nice -chocolate- ale. Quite chocolaty on the nose and in taste. Reminiscent of Sonoran's whit chocolate ale. Pumpkin? Notsomuch.

Very tasty. Probably one of the best pumpkin beers I've tasted. The pumpkin isn't too overpowering either. Try it.

This is my new favorite of the category. While I enjoy the extremes of the over-the-top flavors of Southern Tier to the very subtle Dogfish offering, this really nails the essence of the style. Pours orangish amber. with think white skim and some lace. Aroma are not just standard pumpkin pie spices, but also actual pumpkin and a nice bready malt. I can tell this is beer - unusual in the punkin crowd these days. The flavors only reinforce the aroma, with a very smooth malty backbone, real pumpkin taste, and only mild accompaniment of spices. Finish is clean. Very drinkable. Most of the style I can only have one. This is good. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - OCT 10, 2010
Light vegetable flesh, little brown sugar sweetness balanced with nutmeg, gentle. Amber gold. This pumpkin beer wins for me in its subtlety. The light blond base allows for the spices and vegetable to stand out without being aggressive. Wonderfully balanced. Art (3219) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 18, 2012
