COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Harvest the flavors of fall with a bottle opener and a stroll down the craft-brewed beer aisle. Four+ Punk’n Ale is the pick of the crop with notes of roasted pumpkin and seasonal spices. Savory. Crisp. The sweetness is in the celebration, not on the palate.

Nutmeg and clove aroma; watery body with a fairly dry, tangy and astringent finish; a hint of honey, allspice, and clove in the flavor; no malt charactor; overall rather dull.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small, frothy, white head, somewhat lasting with spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (wheat bread, sugar cookie, nutty), light hops (herbs), average yeast (earth, warm dough) with notes of nutmeg, pumpkin, cinnamon, and cardamom. Medium bodied, creamy and lightly sticky texture, average carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness. The aroma is almost promising while the body does not quite live up to the hype created by the aroma.

Pours a amber orange, with a thick head. Aroma of light nutmeg, allspice and pumpkin. Flavor follows the aroma, being light pumpkin, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Overall, not bad, but doesn’t stand out.

Sampled on 9/24/2011. This pumpkin beer pours a medium orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head, with decent lacing and nice retention. The aroma is fruity and sweet, hint of pumpkin and spices. A light to medium bodied beer. The malts are fruity and sweet, with some pumpkin. The hops are herbal. Decent carbonation. The man problem with this beer is that is somewhat watery, probably due to the fact that its only 4% ABV. Not sure if this is a brewery decision, or having to do with the weird Utah Alcohol laws Mouthfeel is thin. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter.

Bottle from Bruisin Ales. Pours dark orange with a slight pumpkin aroma. Not much on the tongue. Clean finisher. Not my favorite pumpkin beer.

ROGUE (2216) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - JUN 19, 2012
12oz bottle. Poured a slightly hazy copper color with a one finger foamy white head. The aroma is allspice, nutmeg and cinnamon coupled with a fresh pumpkin rind aroma. The taste was very clean with pumpkin pie spice as well as a light pumpkin flavor. Mouthfeel is light bodied and very watery at times.
