Nice lager, adequately hopped, good aroma, altogether a fine thirst-quencher. The artwork is very nice indeed.

Where and how: bottle 355ml
Aroma soft with golden malts, gentle herbal feel with hint of citrus hops.
Appearance :
Top: long lasting white top, rings on glass
Base: pale, golden straw look.
Palate : thinner body, drier than average.
Taste: Mineral, watery with mild malty base. Bit washed out. Beyond that quiet clean and refreshing lager.
Other notes decent offering.

JDBaker11058 (2439) - Maryland, USA - SEP 3, 2014
Appearance: light gold pour, short white head quickly vanishing, no lacing. Aroma: scant aroma of some cereal grains, white toast, hint of lemon grass. Taste: mineral water, light grass, chewed up aspirin, hint of saltine cracker. Finish: thin, with a lingering unpleasant minerality. Notes: WTF, Uinta? Fell in love with Baba Black Lager and every other beer from this place has been a disappointing turd. Bottles are cool, artwork and design are excellent, and that one beer out of the 8 or so I’ve tried has been great. What is wrong with this picture?

berkshirejohn (6813) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2014
12oz bottle from Wegman’s, West Seneca, NY. A straw colour with a fast fading white head; fresh grassy aroma; grassy taste with some honey-like sweetness and a sour grainy body; and a clean sharp bitterness to finish. A decent pilsner style lager with a more assertive finish than most.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a lightly hazed light golden-yellow color with a nice two finger head of billowy white foam. The head has a fantastic level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a great level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is biggest of a mix of wheat and graininess along with a decent showing of a lemon smell. Along with these aromas are some light smells of herbal and floral hop nature. Taste – The taste begins with a lighter biscuit and cracker malt flavor along with a little bit of grass hop. As the taste advances some lemon comes to the tongue along with hints of grapefruit. The flavors all remain quite light throughout, and with a little bit of an herbal and hay flavor that arrives on the tongue at the ever end, a rather light and crisp but somewhat lightly funked flavor is left to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very light with a carbonation level that is slightly above average. While the light body was nice for creating a crisp taste, a little thicker body may have been better for the hop and funk. Even so, overall it was pretty decent, and for the abv, I think they did it right… Overall – A crisp and refreshing beer that is quite sessionable at only 4 % abv. While the flavors are light they are overall rather nice with the brew being a good one for those summer picnics or maybe while watching a little baseball.
