4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Light gold with a medium, white head with medium retention. Very pale aromas, pilsner malt with some slightly floral hop presence. Delicate fermentation flavors accompanied by very light white bread and floral hop; there is a great finishing bitterness. Light bodied and dry. The most refreshing ale you can find, easily mistaken for a light lager of some kind but has a great bitterness that rounds everything out.
Draft at the brewery. Pours clear pale gold with a creamy white head and lots of lacing. Tastes like sweet corn, grassy hops, straw, creamy wheat, and some lemon. Light body and low/medium carbonation. Smells like citrus creamy wheat, corn, lemon, get grassy hops, and straw. JohnnyJ (5570) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 26, 2016
Bottle. Yellow pour, with a white head. Watery, light, biscuity/bready, mild grassiness, and a bit sweet. Boring, but drinkable. books_n_brews (162) - Baltimore-ish, Maryland, USA - MAY 13, 2016
Not much aroma. Light and refreshing. Great Caramel notes. Just something I can’t describe that I really like. First kolsch. Beautiful glass a beer. Upgrading my sample to a pint onceblind (10011) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAR 7, 2016
Cloudy and murky golden with a medium rocky white head. Bready and toasty German blonde grains on the nose with a wee kiss of grassy dry bitterness. Smooth and lasting delightful flavor that’s German blonde and grainy, a were touch grassy, crisp and dry yet lingering with just the right amount of lightly toasted bread. This brew was highly carbonated and of a peach tea hue, with small islands of head. Sweet, toasty cereal grain nose that creates and enticing presence. The body is likewise toasty and of sweet cereal grains and caramel/crystal malting. Not a hop cone to be sensed anywhere. The flavor is much like fresh wort--as it seems rather underattenuated. It’s almost like drinking Kellogs Corn Flakes.

On tap @ Uinta. Dark golden pour with a nice white head. There’s a nice biscuity and almost doughy/cake batter thing to it. Perhaps a bit sweeter than I’d normally like in a Kolsch, but not bad. Some light grassy hop character, a touch of apple esters, and lemon peel. Light bitterness on the back end. Decent enough. Beerathon (1683) - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 16, 2015
Golden pour with 1-finger white head and lacing. Bready/cereal, bit of a lemon note. Not very good, pretty bland. Disappointing. drsordr (2771) - Loveland, Ohio, USA - JUL 22, 2015
Had to get this one since I just visited Bryce Canyon. Bottle pour light yellow with rapidly dissipating white head. Nose crystal malt, mild grain, some lemon. Taste fairly crisp up front, then similar to nose. Some citrus mid palate and then grainy malt late. No odd flavors. Not my favorite style of beer, but I can imagine this being refreshing after hiking Queen’s Garden and Wall Street. ogre71 (359) - Utah, USA - JUL 6, 2015
I like this one its good easy to drink. Not to hoppy, not bitter smooth finish no after taste would recommend. hopdog (12807) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 6, 2015
12oz bottle - Solstice version. Poured a yellow color with an averaged sized head. Stray / grass with some citrus. Thin and watery.
