Two weeks ago the guys at Uinta decided to try something new, take one batch of Wyld Extra Pale and do a special, one of a kind edition. For this special edition Uinta acquired a shload of fresh Simcoe hops, enough to average 4lbs of hops per barrel of beer ( 1 beer barrel = 31 gallons). The result, we hope is one citrusy, resinous and sessionable sombitch! The "wet" in Wet n’ Wyld refers to the state of the hops. Most hops are dried to eliminate weight and spoilage, these are fresh off the vine, wet as nature made them. Wet n’ Wyld is draft only (no bottles) and will be available at the breweries pub and those pubs and bars that tend to give a shit about good local beer.

Tap at Barcade: Something may have gone wrong... Vegetal aroma- huge soapy character. Thin and fizzy body. Soapy flavor. Vegetal and soapy notes.

terrible name for a beer, sounds like a house brew you’d see at a discount hooters .. . amber gold .. strong foam .. . dried grass, spruce, dead caramel, and reggae fiber .. . quick finish, very forgettable beer .. . . You can live a full happy life with AIDS, look at Freddie Mercury. He wrote songs while having it. Try writing a song with Diarrhea.

Draft: this is good, but this is where session pale ales go wrong in my book... the hops have to balance with the malt in the beer...they just sort of sit on top of everything else... so if that’s what you want, knock yourself out. If not... keep looking elsewhere.

Light hoppy draft beer. Decent fresh tasting beer but too hoppy for my liking. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy dark straw with white head that patterns down. Grassy perfume hops. Taste is grassy, orange and yeast. Slight cracker.

Shared by my friend Dan. Pours dark golden with an attractive white head and a floral aroma. There is a smooth pale malt flavor with a very bitter finish. Lots of flavor.

A very nice ipa. Very fruity, some apple and a ton of citrus. Almost tart. Cloudy and orange. Tried this at the DC beerfest with Jess, Mark, and Matt in 2014.

solidfunk (9407) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - APR 15, 2014
One of the early highlights of the beer festival. Pours cloudy light orange with good head and lacing. Some light bretta and some sour apple/cherry feel. Some hops and mash malt. Ingredients mix well. Finishes with light tangy sourness. Tap at DC Beer festival.

Draft into lager glass at Madrones in Frederick, MD. Slight orangy-golden color with white head. Aroma of citrus/herbal/grassy/earthy hops and fruity yeast notes. Taste leans more fruity hops (less bitter then aroma led on), bready and slight caramel note. Light body, moderate carbonation, crisp yet somewhat creamy, with sweet bitter finish. Somewhat thin yet complex aromas/flavors, nice session APA.

Tmoney99 (14973) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - DEC 24, 2013
Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average fizzy white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Medium citrus bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid drinkable brew.
