COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full-flavored amber lager delivers a complex, toasted malt body and noble hop character. Honey and caramel undercurrents. Vanilla accents. Malty with light and hoppy notes. Finishes dry. Yard Sale pairs well with earthy mushroom bisque, grilled lamb or pork, and even mussels and clams.
STORY
"Yard Sale" is skier slang for when a skier falls down on a slope and loses his gear which ends up scattered down the mountain.

Can poured into a snifter. 3.25 A: Moderately hazed amber copper color. One finger of frothy beige head. Retention is below average and half a finger of lacing is left. 3.5 S: Toasty caramel. Light mineral with earthy lager yeast. Bready maltiness. Maybe a hint of apple fruitiness. Malty yet refreshing. 3.5 T: Tastes like it smells. Toastiness and caramel are the strongest flavors. Mild mineral, earthy, and bready tones. Apple and pear fruitiness. 3.75 M: Medium body. Good moderate carbonation. Good richness and velvety texture, especially given the ABV. 3.5 D: Decent beer. Doesn’t blow me away, but is easily drinkable. ★ 651 characters DavoleBomb, Feb 16, 2016

Pours a reddish orange color with aroma of toasted malt and caramel. Vanilla and caramel flavor with some toasted malt. Decent.

12oz bottle. Filtered amber-copper body. Thin, off-white head. Malt centered, not much a hop balance. Medium bodied, lighter than most amber lagers. The aroma is a little unappetizing, earthy and stale. Drinkable, but definitely wouldn’t want a sixpack.

TATE (407) - Lubec, Maine, USA - FEB 13, 2016
Bottle. Pours amber with little head. Lots of large bubbles. Sweet malt and some vegetable aroma. Bit malt up front with not much on the back end, not balanced very well. Lots of flavor for the ABV but pretty forgettable.

355ml can. Quizzical gusher. It pours fizy and highly-carbed with a short-lived head. Aroma is floral caramel,, hint of nuts and sulphur. It is highly-carbed, herbal, light spice, bready character underneath, slight watery. Coudl be better.

BierMeHoos (587) - Maryland, USA - JAN 31, 2016
Poured from a 12 oz bottle, standard 6-pack from Old Line Fine Wine, Spirits & Bistro. Appearance is clear burnt orange, on the lighter side, and a huge meringue-like head. Aroma is spices and cedar wood, and some maltiness. Taste is mellow blend of cedar, peppery spices, and nuttiness. Palate is light body. Overall its easy drinking, and kind of plain.

Canned. Poured clear, bright reddish-orange with a short-lived off-white head. The aroma picked up fruity and caramel notes with light spicy accents. The flavor found sweet caramel at the core with fruity notes, some spices, and light oxidation around.. muddled finish. Light-medium bodied and tacky on the palate.. OK, but not the least bit exciting.
