COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This full-flavored amber lager delivers a complex, toasted malt body and noble hop character. Honey and caramel undercurrents. Vanilla accents. Malty with light and hoppy notes. Finishes dry. Yard Sale pairs well with earthy mushroom bisque, grilled lamb or pork, and even mussels and clams.
STORY
"Yard Sale" is skier slang for when a skier falls down on a slope and loses his gear which ends up scattered down the mountain.

Late rating. 12 ounce single bottle picked up at Total Wine and More in Huntersville, NC. Pours a nice golden color with a light tan head. Aromas of toasted grain, malt. Medium body, average carbonation. Flavor is mostly toasted and caramel malts that finishes dry, crisp and clean. Not bad.

Rated in 2010 (Backlog) - Golden orange with a good sized off-white head. Aroma is of grain. Taste is the same.

Clear redish brown thick head that diminishes quick. Mild carbonation. Smells malty Carmely and sweet little earthiness. Very light and easy to drink. Little sticky on the tounge. Not a bad beer on the back porch in the heat.

Very red amber with lasting thin off-white head; aroma of skunk or burnt rubber; Flava is tangy and dry but not bitter or hoppy or sweet; feels very watery but with fizz; finishes dry and grainy with touch of hop

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber body with a small fizzy off-white head that faded to a thin wispy film. The nose is fairly dry and toasty with some light graininess and husky malt. The flavor is pretty dry, which is nice, but there’s a dusty graininess throughout that is a bit of a detractor. The finish is equally husky and grainy. There’s a slight undertone of crystal malt throughout that’s a bit of a problem for me as well. I think that this could do with a little more sweetness and body. Dry mouthfeel with soft fizzy carbonation, quite a bit of graininess. The more I have of this, the more I dislike it.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear pale amber color with small white head. Aroma of malt up front, some hops, and not much else. Taste is clean and crisp. Malty with slight earthy hops bitterness. Falls a little flat for a winter beer.

Gription79 (2891) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - MAR 23, 2013
Poured from a 12 ounce bottle. The aroma is caramel, toast, slight berry. The flavor is caramel, toast, malty, rich. A nice easy drinking amber lager. Not an interesting beer to me.

Crisp deep amber coloured body with pungent ruby highlights and a two centimetre tall tan head with a lot of movement in the body. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel, nuts and a hint of earth - not too much there. Light-bodied; Sharp toasted malt notes with a little earthiness, some light sweet toffee flavours and a hint of grass and herbal notes. Aftertaste relatively light with the malt and a little sugar coming through. Overall, a pretty underwhelming beer with a good malty flavour, but not much else and not really worth trying. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Total Wine in McLean, Virginia on 07-February-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 16-February-2013.

flylikeabanana (179) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - FEB 15, 2013
This is an interesting red winter lager, yeasty and a bit of chocolate. Bottle pours a dark red-brown with a medium white head. Taste is nutty-malt and finishes almost like a light stout.

ajnepple (6701) - Denver, Colorado, USA - FEB 9, 2013
12 oz bottle. Deep amber/copper color and clear with a small white head and no lacing. Aromas of toasted grains, bready malts and hay. Medium body, slick texture and average carbonation. Flavor is mostly toasted and caramel malts, faint honey and vanilla sweetness with a light hop bitterness that finishes dry. Pretty crisp and clean. Meh, not for me.
