Canned. Poured clear, bright reddish-orange with a short-lived off-white head. The aroma picked up fruity and caramel notes with light spicy accents. The flavor found sweet caramel at the core with fruity notes, some spices, and light oxidation around.. muddled finish. Light-medium bodied and tacky on the palate.. OK, but not the least bit exciting. nuplastikk (6277) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 15, 2016
12oz bottle. Filtered amber-copper body. Thin, off-white head. Malt centered, not much a hop balance. Medium bodied, lighter than most amber lagers. The aroma is a little unappetizing, earthy and stale. Drinkable, but definitely wouldn’t want a sixpack. alobar (3786) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 21, 2016
Pours a reddish orange color with aroma of toasted malt and caramel. Vanilla and caramel flavor with some toasted malt. Decent. oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAR 13, 2006
Pours a nice medium amber color. Nice roast aromas. Flavor has a roast almost burnt grain flavor to it. harlequinn (2744) - Tacoma, Washington, USA - JUN 13, 2006
Roastiness right off the bat, with some toasted caramel nuttiness, needs more hops and comes off a little unbalanced.

Bottle: Deep amber, quite hazy, moderate fizzy sand colored head, spotty lacing. Grainy nose, slightly nutty. Dull sweet malt start, slightly roasty, becoming more grainy and nutty as it progresses. Body and mouthfeel are average. Fairly clean finish, given the graininess that starts out up front. A bit of tang on the exit, even seems a tad bit citrusy. Not half bad, but not really my favorite style. Thanks Jordan for the bottle! bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - AUG 22, 2006
Medium malty aroma. Pale tan head, with a reddish coppery color. Slightly smoky malt for start, arguably a bit of coffee in the middle, defaulting to a rather (for a malty lager) dry finish, with malt flavor. Pretty minimal hop, but a nice alternative to the overly sweet German dark lagers. I like it, and I usually find lagers distasteful. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - FEB 11, 2008
