Ungstrup (38867) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 26, 2005
[Growler] A hazy amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity, but also prunes and some burnt detergents. The flavor is dry roasted and very spicy - with coriander standing out, which makes me think of a Belgian Ale. The end is very dry.

Oakes (19341) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 9, 2007
Cloudy dark chestnut. Fudgey, chocolatey, nutty aroma. Sweet flavour. Some fattiness in the body, sulphur on the nose. Bland, sugary. Didn’t get what they were getting at.

(Bottle) Organic beer blind tasting at Brouwers’s in Seattle, March 3, 2007. Not terribly Scottish in aroma more a smoked apples, prunes and boiled tomatoes. Flavour of sour brown sugar. Poor.

Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2005
Growler. Amber coloured. Loads of apples in the aroma. Quite hoppy flavour with a dry and bitter finish. Low carbonation. Light to medium bodied. Fresh.

Mads Langtved (2240) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2005
Groiwler: Unclear, brown. A bit dusty. Malty flavour. Bitter and dry finish. A bit too thin and unbalanced for me.

monk191 (2022) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 28, 2013
A very good brown ale. Pours a beautiful deep red with a light white head. Smells great, strawberries and cream. Taste is very creamy, with a slightly hoppy finish. Had on tap at the brewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
