Good malty arouma, smooth palate, solid flavor and reddish hues which compliments the flavor. This is the best beer at the pub. herbstress3 (221) - Bellingham, Washington, USA - OCT 21, 2002
Best beer I’ve tried here since most taste and look the same. This on the other hand has a distinct flavor and great color. jazz88 (2679) - San Francisco, California, USA - JAN 22, 2003
Tap. Brown mahogany color with a tan head. A great aroma with fruits and malts. Strong malt and hop flavor. monk191 (1976) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAR 28, 2013
A very good brown ale. Pours a beautiful deep red with a light white head. Smells great, strawberries and cream. Taste is very creamy, with a slightly hoppy finish. Had on tap at the brewery.

Poured amber brown, malty, nutty, little hops, little brown sugar, grainy finish. Ungstrup (37564) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUN 26, 2005
[Growler] A hazy amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity, but also prunes and some burnt detergents. The flavor is dry roasted and very spicy - with coriander standing out, which makes me think of a Belgian Ale. The end is very dry. raphael (1254) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 19, 2008
scent of brown sugar, caramel, juniper. cloudy amber, thin head. flavors of wood smoke, resiny hops, whiskey, distant honey tone, sweet finish bnoel09 (587) - Elk Grove, California, USA - AUG 10, 2012
Sampler at the brewpub. Amber with a ruby hue. Earthy aroma with a touch of citrusy hops. Flavor is very earthy malt and hops. Palate is a bit muddy. Hildigöltur (5104) - København, DENMARK - JUN 18, 2005
Growler. Amber coloured. Loads of apples in the aroma. Quite hoppy flavour with a dry and bitter finish. Low carbonation. Light to medium bodied. Fresh.
