Big thanks to quack-duck for that one. Bottle looks old but really good. Beer in the glass not as dark as exspected, nice head. Starts mild, modest malty-dry, not too roasty. Some earthy notes. Finish well balanced, quite drinkable. Could be more intense, but still a good one! MoritzF (10095) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JAN 31, 2013
(swing top bottle, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Clear, chestnut-brown colour with a loose and tanned foamy head. Toast-malty and mildly bready aroma with caramel, chestnuts and a tinge of spicy herbal hops. Toasty bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a calm carbonation. Toasty malty and (wal-)nutty taste with notes of caramel, chestnuts and herbal hoppy accents; moderately dry and bitter hoppy finish with an aromatic malt profile. Good. 16.I.13 pivnizub (10811) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - JAN 20, 2013
Old fashioned Bügelverschlußflasche(kindly donated by Stefan!): Clear, chestnut-amber coloured, small off-white head with a little lacework, moderate dryish (wal-)nutty and toasty nose; moderate dryish bitter-sweet flavou, not too light bodied; lingering bitter nutty-toasty finish, some hops detectable in the aftertaste. A very well crafted brew… Quack-Duck (9533) - Down South, GERMANY - DEC 9, 2012
