Full bodied deep texture with an excellent hopped nose and fruitiness in its taste.

allmyvinyl (11073) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 13, 2015
500ml bottle from Booths, Penwortham. Aromas are butterscotch, fudge. Astringent malty taste. Harsh. Aptly named. Distinct lack of any hop character.

AshtonMcCobb (6946) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 13, 2015
Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl.
Appearance - amber with a thin lacy head.
Nose - toffee, butterscotch.
Taste - burnt toffee and astringent grain.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a dry tangy and astringent finish.
Overall - this is another fine mess.

New Oxford, Salford 27 Jan 13. Lys gylden. Lavt skum med litt lacing. Søt sviskearoma med hint av karamell. Smaken litt vassen. Tørr fruktig med litt syrlighet i ettersmaken.

Cask by handpump at Bon Accord, Glasgow - clear deep golden, thin frothy white head, very weak fruity citrus aroma, no lacing, sweet fruity, caramel malt flavour, watery texture, refreshing, very easy to drink

Cask at The New Oxford Winter Ales Festival in Salford. Half shared with Finn. Clear copper coloured body, headless, dotted spots to the glass. Aroma of fresh and dried fruits. Taste of citrus fruits mixed with caramel malts. Bittersweet ending. A good, average bitter (Greater Manchester, 27.01.2013).

Bottle. Creamy head on pouring. Slightly dry with a bitter finnish. Well bottled and easy to drink.

DruncanVeasey (8326) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2011
Bottle. Orange amber with a slim white cap. Decent mandarin cheesecake and dishcloth soapy aroma, faintly buttered. Plenty of dishcloth in fact. Bright and tangy with mandarin and leafy hop notes easing into a pleasantly soapy (Fairy Liquid) and slightly cashew-accented finish. Could drink all night.
