(Growler, courtesy of blutt59) Pours a deep amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of coriander, brown sugar, dates, toasted grain, and dark candi sugar. Flavor of dark candi sugar, raisins, dates, coriander, nutmeg, banana, nuts, and Belgian yeast. Quite complex and well crafted. Nice beer to celebrate a second anniversary. (Growler thanks to blutt59) Pours a dark mahogany with great head and lacing. Sweet biscuit, alcohol in the nose. Alcohol in the taste too, but not out of place. Beer has a great sweet linger with perfect carbonation. Some dark candi sugar and banana in this one, tons of flavors but can’t pin them all down. Quite complex and well done! mar (5446) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 29, 2009

Growler courtesy of blutt59. Cloudy auburn color. Sweet notes. Soft nose. Taste is sweet and even. Easy on the finish. Best thing out of UB yet. SphinxTX (2878) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - JUN 26, 2009
Growler thanks to Blutt59. Pours a deep reddish brown with off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, nutty, caramel, some fruit. Flavor is sweet, nutty, caramel, spicy, some dark fruit. Mouth feel is medium-heavy body with high carbonation. Over all, pretty good stuff!!!! lb4lb (2632) - Austin, Texas, USA - MAY 19, 2009
Pours a rich, dark amber with nice creamy offwhite head. Smell is malty, a touch fruity, and perhaps a faint whiff of alcohol. Taste is big on the malts, and leans sweet, with a slight tart twanginess to it. Tart, rich caramel a very light smattering of light belgian yeasty fruitiness, and a bit of light alcohol. Full bodied, and creamy and sweet, but not cloying. Enjoyable, given my lack of affinity for the style. Rosebud butternuts (2408) - Denton, Texas, USA - JUN 30, 2009
growler thanks to blutt59. poured an amberish color with an off white head. aroma of caramel, cinnamon, and raisin. flavor was the same as the nose. once it warmed a little i enjoyed it more. fly (1487) - austin, Tejas, Texas, USA - JUN 4, 2009
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2009 Malty, boozy, big and chewy - not my favored style but for a while I sure enjoyed it.
Okay, I drank this again and now that someone else was driving and I the fear took the backseat so I could better sample this - very good stuff. I am an idiot and I worship Brian and his cool shades that surpass anything I have ever owned.
