Sample at the brewpub. Pours flat black with a medium tan head that burns away steadily. Rings of lacing stick to the glass. Aroma of roasted coffee and chocolate. Medium to full body with a nice roasted character, and flavors of malt, coffee and dark chocolate. The finish is chocolatey with mild hops and coffee left over. Pretty good Stout overall. Thanks to blutt59 for sharing this growler.
The beer pours dark brown to black with a tan head. The aroma is strong coffee with not too much else. The flavor is a mix of strong black coffee, some chocolate and some roasted malt. Medium to thick mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very good coffee beer. mar (5409) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JUN 11, 2010

Black appearance. Tingy tan head. Good coffee aroma and iced coffee taste. Very strong and clean tasting. The only way you can tell its a beer is because it finishes pretty bitter. travita (4992) - Dallas, Texas, USA - MAY 17, 2012
