Growler from Cavie. Aroma is alcohol, fruit, sour, and medicinal. Taste is sour and gross with a hint of bourbon. Still haven’t figured out this sour ale thing yet. angrypirate06 (1388) - Texas, USA - FEB 21, 2010

HUGE thanks goes to Ryan from Uncle Billy’s for setting me up with this beer. All the members of the DFW crew were thankful. Clear copper color with a fuzzy white head. Aroma has light tart notes and easy grain. Smells very accessible. Taste is lightly tart with easy grains. Slight bitter that lasts throughout the finish. Some liquor notes and wood. Very nicely done.

Thanks to Cavie for sharing this growler.
Pours and orange-amber with a white head. The beer looks about like iced tea. The aroma is nice and tart with some oak. The flavor is tart cherries, bourbon, vanilla and oak with a slight vinegar characteristic. Low carbonation and light mouthfeel. thirdeye11 (6162) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 25, 2009
(draught at brewpub) pours huge thick head, clear amber and nice lace. Nose of oak, light tart cherries, and vanilla. Taste nail polish, sour flavor to complement it. The bitterness takes away from this sour. I wish it was only slightly different and it could be much better. bu11zeye (13140) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUN 24, 2009
UPDATED: FEB 22, 2010 (Growlers, courtesy of travita and Ryan from Uncle Billys) Pours a clear mahogany body with a medium off-white head. Aroma of oak, bourbon, cherry, herbs, and some barnyard. Flavor of caramel malt, nougat, sourness, vanilla, subtle bourbon, light florals, and wood. RollinHard (1024) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - APR 7, 2009
Pours like the namesake. Aroma of nail polish remover and rubber cement. Tastes oddly similar with a bit of cherry. Finishes woody and dry, with a slight bourbon quality. Meh! Didn’t like this at all. Rosebud butternuts (2396) - Denton, Texas, USA - MAR 26, 2009
