Draught at CBC 2012. Clear dark red/brown - no head. Sweetness, honey, roasted, fruity, nice hoppy, coffee, nutty, high malty, dark fruits, high bitterness, wooden, light wooden tartness, spicy wooden notes. Lovely. Leighton (21255) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 26, 2012
Draft at the Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours dark, red-brown with a fine, bubbly tan head. Some dark sugars on the nose, bit of wood, mild tart fruits, some brown sugar and caramel. Hugely sweet flavor with some light, tangy dark wood notes, mild age to the malts, dark toffee, dark cherries, some cocoa. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Very warming on the finish, some dryness imparted by the wood gives the beer a nice vinous quality, which is furthered by the dark fruit notes. Very nice beer. Yes, quite vinous. jesperhammer (4735) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAY 14, 2012

On tap @ Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Aged on what? Gotta try this! :-) Pours a dark mahogany brown body with a small off-white head. Aroma is wood, soy, dark malts, bourbon, cognac, dried dark fruits, hints of booze and caramel. Very complex and nice. Taste is licorice, dark fruits, cognac, wood and hints of booze, vanilla, burnt caramel and salmiac. Smooth, silky mouthfeel. Incredibly nice ASA, and a fascinating creation from Uncommon Brewers. One of the best surprises at CBC for me. :-)

Whisky aroma. Dark coloured a little hazy in appearance very strong in alcohol and hoppy with a hint of dryness in a woody and extremely bitter malt finish. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2012
On tap. Cloudy opaque dark brown with absolutely no head. Fairly subtle aroma, a little overripe fruit and booze. Huge body, low carbonation, plenty of overripe fruit accents, oxidized, herbal and medicinal with a burning alcohol in the finish. A beer that really unfolds from aroma to flavour. Clearly the best offering I’ve had from Uncommon so far. 120512 joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2012
