3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
1 pint can. Pours a clear red/dark brown hue with a fluffy off white head. I get a sweet buckwheat aroma but not alot of bacon. Big buckwheat flavour in this beer and as it warms in the mouth i get that meaty (bacon) like flavour on the back of the tongue. Nice beer but not overly complex.
Donkerbruin bier met een rode gloed en beige schuimkraag. Geur: geroosterde mout, aards, noten, licht zoet, ietwat gerookt eerder grill chips. Smaak: redelijk zoet, aards, noten, zoete sojasaus (Kecap manis). Goede koolzuurprikkel. Afdronk: licht zoet, plakkerig. Ik heb mijn best gedaan om spek te vinden maar helaas. On tap @ Nedre Foss Gaard. This is a near clear really deep ruby colored one, not too much of a head on it really. It smells like a sweet bock that has been blended with sweet licorice, some cardboard and a little herbs. Not too bacony really. Mild gliding in the mouth and it’s somewhat soft on the carbonation. Prickling I’d say. Again, bockish in the taste. No real traces of the promised bacon here. Dark caramel sweetness and a little ripe plum. Not what the cake promised, but it’s definitely a drinkable, slightly dull one. 29.05.2015 daje (4341) - NORWAY - APR 10, 2016
On tap at Nedre Foss Gård, may 13th 2015. Copper colored body with a small head. Aroma of licorice, herbs and toast. Taste of burned caramel, earthy hops, medium bitterness. Bacon? You’ll have to search hard for traces of it, seems they forgot the "generous serving of bacon" in my glass. tricksta_p (4561) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - DEC 5, 2015
Can at BeerTemple, Amsterdam. Aroma of malt, caramel, nuts, some dark fruity notes, hint of smoke, hops. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a moderate bitter finish. Medium bodied. Certainly an enjoyable Brown Ale, but where’s the bacon I was promised? 20107589 (748) - randers, DENMARK - SEP 18, 2015

Draught @ BrewDog Gothenburg. Pours tiny hazy dark reddish brown with a small frothy brownish beige head that leaves some thick lacing on the glass. Smell is malty, tiny fruity and tiny smokey with sweet bread, caramel, chocolate, dried pine needles, moist soil and orange peal. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter and slightly malty. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny astringent and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with caramel, toffee, moist grass, dried pine needles and orange peal. Fairly solid brown ale. Bit on the sweet side. vjohans (756) - SWEDEN - JUL 31, 2015

Malty nose with hints of berries and chocolate. Slight tint of booze.
Pours clear dark amber, with a light white head.
Smooth malty taste, with a little bitternes. Not really much bacon to find. Vestergaard (2089) - Aarhus C, DENMARK - JUL 14, 2015
From can. Pours a clear brown with a small, off white head. Aroma has caramel, malts, slight hops and maybe hints of bacon. Taste is more smoky with some toasted notes to it. Fairly sweet. Not much bacon i think, but still a simple and nice brown ale. Average to high carbonation and a semi-full body.
