Draft at Taps Beer Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured almost black with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is sweet roasty malt, light molasses. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich, almost creamy, smoky malt, light liquorice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Plenty going on and very refreshing even in the Asian heat. Can from Beers of Europe.
Pours dark brown/black with a single finger tan coloured head. Aroma of smokiness, dark fruits, sweetness, caramel, toffee...Taste of initial smokiness, real good smokiness, chocolate then dark fruits, plums, raisins, cherries, caramel, toffee, liquorice...the liquorice is a bit sickly for me, doesn’t mix too well with the creaminess for me...nice nonetheless though! gnoff (10336) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - MAY 18, 2015
