COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is a Belgian-style double brewed with a traditional coriander, and an uncommon addition of kaffir lime and lemongrass. An amber body, rich, flavorful, absolutely delicious, and entirely too drinkable for a beer that’s 8.5% ABV.

50cl can @ Tipu. Messy orangey brown, small lightly tanned head. Nose is coarse molasses, limey dishwashing liquid, solvents and tequila. Flavor is very sweet, some alcohol, glue, lime and darker candi sugar earhy peppery spices, pretty all over. Booze shines through. Nearly medium bodied, soft neutral carbonation. Off-flavors come through when this warm, and I can’t see that lime blending in too well with the candi sugar.

Draft Half Pint at White Horse, Parsons Green, London in Aug 2010 - Amber in colour. Spicy; coriander. Yeasty. Fruity; lemon, lime, grapefruit, tropical fruits. Malty; caramel, candy sugar. Sweet spicy fruity malty throughout. Refreshing. Very drinkable. (2010-08)

Can from Edgemont. Smell is dark fruit, raisins, caramel and malt. Dark fruit and malt flavors with spices. Finishes like and sugary malt. Very Belgian-esque. An interesting one.

Smells like sour and earthy spice. Dark brown opaque color. Classic Belgium taste with hints of sour and a malty finish.

Can. Maple syrup hue; frothy cream-colored head. Aroma is heavy with raisin pulp, followed by dashes of brown sugar and tangy teriyaki. The front of the flavor has the impression of a fairly standard dubbel spiked with lime--citric tang grips the sides of the tongue. This drops off dramatically at the swallow, and you’re left with a malty character and notes of maple, brown sugar and figs. Alcohol is noticeably chest-warming but doesn’t overpower the flavor. Not bad, but certainly a little odd.

Poured from keg at Junkyard, half-pint shared with Finn. Red-brown coloured body. Bare naked surface. Smell of black currant and caramel. Berries flavours added by spices and honeyed caramel. Well bodied with warmth from the alcohol. Heavy stuff, nice sipper (Saturday pub crawl in Nottingham 20.02.2016).

Fra fat på Junkyard i Nottingham 20 Feb 16. Delt med Rune. Dyp amber. 0 skum. God aroma av svisker. Søt plommesmak. Luftig. Lite variasjon. Vel mye kullsyre. Lett sherrypreg.

On can at Sandar Bryghus. Deep golden color- good foam. Medium aroma intensity; fruity, light honey, floral and light hops. Medium body & complexity. Some immediate sweetness- ok balance. Enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cannette.

Can from the Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Pours cloudy brown with a beige head. The taste is sweet yet sharp. Lime and corriander are particularly evident. An nteresting beer with plenty of flavours going on, but it’s not one I’d be in a rush to try again. The flavour is perhaps a little harsh.
