Copper orange. A little sweeter, though not necessarily maltier than expected. Says 7.6% on the bottle but listed as a double (on the label) too - doesn’t drink like one. Soft citrus and a hint of pine and pith, moderate bitterness. Pretty nice. hopdog (12341) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 8, 2017
750ml bottle. Poured a deeper amber color with a small sized off white head. Citrus, some fruitiness, and sweet finish. DocLock (10652) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - APR 18, 2017
750 from Whole Foods. Pours turbid coppery with frothy, off-white head. Nose was resiny hops, floral spice. Tastes floral, spicy, grainy, malty, with piney hop flavor. Dense on the tongue, finishes somewhat sweet, Awktoberfest (404) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - NOV 14, 2015
This certainly would be a great homebrew if it were made in a small apartment on the stovetop and fermented in a closet underneath hanging garments by a husband and wife team celebrating their first anniversary but.... Underwhelming as a belgian inspired IPA. I don't get any of those. It's very raw. Very earthy/rustic. But not like funky earthy in a belgian yeast type way. Aroma may be it's best attribute but still that's uninspiring. Wanted more. I'd drink it again if someone else bought it. Come on team!

On tap at HopCat in Madison, pours a light orange with some creamy, white head. Nose has some tropical fruit, a little grapefruit, some tangerine, a little candy. Flavor follows, muddled tropical fruit, Asian pear, some guava, a little melon, orange, lemon. Full bodied and bitter.

Bottle - 500ml. Cloudy amber body with a thick, off-white foamy head. Robust hoppy aroma with herbal, malty, piney, and grapefruit hints. Its sharp, well balanced hoppy taste carries piney, citrusy, and yeasty notes. Ends with a long, robust, moderately warming bitter/herbal finish. Very good! superspak (5506) - Michigan, USA - MAY 17, 2015
750 ml bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, batch # M151. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy deep orange/amber color with a 2-3 finger dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light banana, coriander, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/pine hops, and pale malt notes; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, light banana, coriander, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate pine/grassy bitterness and yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, lemon/orange zest, light pine, light banana, coriander, pepper, candi sugar, toasted bread, herbal, floral, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/pine hops, and pale malt flavors; with a great malt/yeast/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a very smooth, moderately crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Belgian IPA style. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, citrus/pine hops, and bready malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering. raoul_duke (240) - - MAY 8, 2015
Very foamy. Smells of coriander with a lot of Belgian notes. Tons of carbonation. Nice spice to it. Good not great. Would drink again. ARH (1125) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - APR 17, 2015
On tap, poured into a sampler glass. The aroma is floral with sweet citrus, banana, toffee, a light cinnamon and brown sugar spice blend, and even a hint of nuts. The beer appears oily and deep brown-red / mahogany hue with only a very thin white head disappears completely and leaves a clean glass. The beer is a medium high sweet up front that mellows, and turns over to a medium bitter late. The texture is syrupy and flat. The medium body is made up of floral and honey notes on the palate, with a light, roasted hint and finishes with a toasty brown sugar. The aftertaste is cloying and sugary with an almost clean resin quality and a late, bitter grapefruit peel note. troyc (2869) - Illinois, USA - MAR 6, 2015
[Bottle] Lighter orange pour with about an inch of dense foam head. Notes of tropical fruits, pineapple, grapefruit, Belgian yeast and floral hops in the aroma. Flavors include dough, sweet grains, apricot, peach, citrus peel and a nice dose of grassy and floral hops. Moderate levels of bitterness. Medium in body. A pretty solid beer.
