American Peach Wild Ale

Note - Because this beer utilizes the Ouais base and matches ABV with Le Seul IV, it should be alted as such. This differs from the other year round sour Framboise.

Tasting at SF, Vancouver
Pale blond color, hazy. The aroma is penetrating, some foot, fruit, peach, citrus. Light body, very dry, moderate acidity, lemony character, simple.
Ok Sour, not much going on.

750ml bottle @ the office. Pours a cloudy golden straw colour with a tiny white head. Nose is sour funky peaches. Flavour is quite similar with emphasis on the sourness.

I know it's old, but that chunk of fuck know what that poured into the glass was not working for me at all. I've never actually seen anything like it before, and it looked gross. The colour is fine, blond and cloudy. No head. The aroma is peachy, shows some tartness. Tart, peachy, actually good despite looking vile. I'm down - some nice barrel, some nice fruit, and I like the tartness, too.

Bottle - Petroleum and peach sourness. Cloudy yellow and gold. Soured peach with some petrol notes. Decent for the age.

750ml bottle at Brian's office. Pours a hazy blonde with a white head. Aroma is funky, acidic and ascorbic. Same taste. Meh.

mcberko (19193) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - OCT 5, 2017
750mL bottle, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head and chunky sediments. Aroma brings out tart fuzzy peaches and some farmhouse yeast. Flavour is acidic and ascorbic, with tart faded peaches, messy yeast, and light acidity. Very yeasty, fairly tart and lacking any depth. Probably too old. Not good.

750 ml bottle. Pours a deep yellow gold with a medium white head. Aroma of ripe peaches, acidic notes, light funk and lactose. Taste of ripe peaches, light funk and lactose. Nicely done. Acidic.

ctipping (2252) - Florida, USA - JUN 30, 2017
On tap at the brewery. Hazy orange body. Smells of light peach, wheat. Surprisingly grainy aroma with a light lemon acidity. Tastes of peaches, grain, tart lemon. Tiny bit of vinegar. Medium body. Strong sourness. Decent.

On draft at Narrow Gauge (yes, I went to a brewery and drank other beer...). Vinegar and wheat aroma, pours opaque golden with large head that settles quickly. Lightly carbonated and quite sour. Taste is of sour green grapes and underripe peach, lots of wild yeast funk with a bready finish. I don’t taste a lot of fresh peach here and it is mouth-puckeringly sour, so it’s an interesting beer to taste but not the easiest to drink.

drowland (9161) - Georgia, USA - MAR 23, 2017
1/3/17. 750mL bottle from the Moline Hy Vee Wine & Spirits. Orange pour with a nice off-white head. Lovely funky and sour aroma, tart, hints of peaches. Great funky and sour flavor, tart, good peach character. Considering I’m not a big peach fan, this beer was killer!
