Bottle. Very dark brown with a beige foam. Aromas are burnt toast and chocolate with roast coffee. Weetabix with blackberry and light smoke. Cola with some nutty and liquorice notes. Flavours are chocolate, weetabix and cola with caramel. Yeast with dark berries and hints of banana. Some character gets lost in the carbonation. OK.

Sampled at rhe unertl braistube. Sweet malty taste but a bit too sweet and not malty enough.

biir (1317) - Berlin, - JAN 21, 2017
Bottle from Beerbaboon - dark brown color, small creamy beige head. Taste is banana, dark (roasted) malts, some cocoa, toffee. High (unpleansant) carbonation, body could be thicker imho.

WillemsUrenkel (1821) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - DEC 30, 2016
0,5 l bottle from kappldav123 so far as I remember. A darkest red brown, nearly black in the glass, with a mighty beige head. Yeast and wheat on the nose, little bit fruity. Taste has some yeast, low but present banana and chewing gum, malt in the second rwo. Hints of sulfur in the background. Dry to the end. Nice frankonian stuff.

3.4
BeerandBlues2 (13213) - Escondido, California, USA - NOV 19, 2016
Draught at Tap House Munich. Pours dark brown with a large, creamy off-white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy earthy wheat malt, light toast character with bananas and cloves. Flavor is dark earthy wheat malt with bananas and cloves and a dry finish. Medium-light body and moderate carbonation.

Many thanks to kappldav123 for this bottle! Smooth and malty caramelly beginning. Very fresh and round, smooth with a nice subtle clove aroma. The body is smooth, very refreshing with malty caramelly hints and dry grain. Moderate bitter, dry and caramelly smooth aftertaste with yeasty clove. Nice.

[backlog] 14-01-16 / bottle at home. Yeasty, some dried fruit. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 3/5

fdomig (996) - München, GERMANY - JUL 21, 2016
500ml on tap at Taphouse Munich. Aroma is malt, light cigarette smoke, very light algae. Appearance is darkest brown with a brown-ish foam. Taste is light sour. Medium sweet. Light carbonation. Proper.

Murky dark brown color with beige head. Aroma has some fermented fruits like plums and apples with a bit of brown sugar. Taste starts also with some tart, fermented fruits. You also get some dunkelweizen flavors like banana, but overripe and mushy and some yeast spice. Medium body and carbonation. I don’t know if I got a bad bottle but it seems a bit too tart for the style.
