COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
It contains NO oranges! (Does red ale contain reds? No, it doesn’t. So orange ale doesn’t have to contain oranges.) It does, however, contain a boatload of citrus-y hop flavour and just the slightest hint of malt sweetness. Brewed with the Citra hop cultivar and 2-row barley malt only. And we used a proprietary colour and flavour development technique. (Maybe Nash will tell you about it. And maybe he won’t.)

2018-02-08. Dark orange body, nice beige head. 3+ Aroma of oily citrusy hops, green hop notes, alcohol. Sweet hop and malt melange. 7+ Flavour is relatively bitter throughout similar oily citrus hop character as in the aroma, sweetish malty core but bitterness grows as you go. 7++ Average plus to medium bodied palate, good carbonation. Just a bit maltier than my preference but pretty nice overall. 7/3/7/3-4/16+ Can via trade with OKBeer.

Deep golden orange pour. The aroma is very juicy and citrusy. Has a great bright fruitiness and a bit of pepper. Orange and passionfruit and other tropical notes. Bright and zesty.

Fresh batch sent in growler from Halifax. Good hop aroma. More West Coast style not too yeasty. Straight out hop oil. Very nice drinker.

On tap at Upstreet Brewing. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma combines bitter pine and onion with resin and grass underlying. Flavor has a onion and pine combination with a sweet grain backbone.

Growler from charm school. Brought orange, citrusy bursting aroma, but overly bitter, and fruity hops. Good but would prefer the profile on a single ipa.

Growler pour. Pours a clear golden with some orange highlights, minimal head, minimal lacing. Tropical fruit nose with mango, tangerine, grapefruit; juicy sweetness with tropical flavours and a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Light, crisp, and great at masking the bordering on 8% alcohol content. Very tasty.

UPDATED: JAN 5, 2018 Light Amber, orange in color. Heavy citrus hops smell. Little head that dissipates quickly. Light carbonation. Heavy citrus flavor. Delicious beer.

Growler. Shared before Dieu du Ciel Zwanze Day 2015. Thanks Jonathan! Dark orangey color with a medium white head leaving some lacing. Aroma is really nice hoppy bursting with citrus. There’s also caramel and mild spiciness in the background. Taste is more malt forward but not to the point of taking all the place as it’s also still fairly citrusy. Body is medium, as is carbonation. Mouthfeel is a bit oily. Medium bitterness. Mild spiciness in the finish. Alcohol is rather well hidden. I wasn’t too sure about this one when I saw the color (I prefer my IPAs lighter), but it was a pleasant surprise as drinkability was pretty good and the citrus burst of the nose show they weren’t afraid to use hops.
