Beer pours (in Chimay glass) an applejuice (piss, read 'urine')-golden color with salt water foamy white head. Aroma is of straw, grass, vegetal. Flavor is of strong alcohol-citrus, with straw, grass, vegetal ending. Beer is a drainpour. I don't think this was a bad bottle. Just nothing memorable. Sampled at 71 degrees Fahrenheit.

Bottle 750ml. Pours golden with no head. No pop at opening (cork issue?). Aroma is of umami stuff, madeira, fruits. Taste is of cardboard, madeira, malt, slight nuts. Palate: Light-medium body. No carbonation. Overall: Too old. Over the hill. Oxydation issue.

Bottle (750 ml). Acquired via trade. Clear golden with a small quickly collapsing white head and no lacing. Aroma is slightly fruity with cardboard, light yeast and spices. Taste is mostly of cardboard along with light fruits and some spices. Alcohol isn’t present at all. Medium body. Low carbonation. This beer was supposed to have been well stored but that’s doubtful considering how bad it was. Definitely past is prime... by a decade.

Pours thick golden amber with almost no head. Aroma and flavor have faded immensely, bringing some spicy amber malts and fruity yeast notes.

This was certainly a rare treat - thanks OmegaX. This 11-year old bottle had quality beyond what I expected from Unibroue. The body had a brilliant, hazy orange color to with with soft carbonation. It smelled like dank hops, kumquat and yeast - all coming together quite like a Creamsicle. The taste was herbal and delicate; honey, dried citrus, cereal, mango and yeast. Definitely my favorite beer from these people, such a great job done here.

Thanks, Jsquire, for practically giving this to me. Wow this has been on the top of my wants list for a long time. Aroma was big time tropical fruit. Mango and guava notes with a hint of bread and caramel/toffee. As it warmed up the Unibroue spice came through to give it their signature aroma. Almost no indication of the ABV. This one poured out golden orange with a fizzy white head. I was surprised that an eleven year old beer could even have carbonation left. Soft carbonation on the palate but still pleasingly carbonated. Taste is big time guava, mango, and other fruits. Sweet, sticky caramel and toasted malts with some clove and spice. Very good. Probably my favorite Unibroue to date. Wow, what a treat.

750ml corked bottle pours a hazy golden orangeish color with a 3 finger white head that lasts a while and eventually settles down to leave some fine lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits and some toasty malts and yeast with a trace of hops. Taste is light fruits and toasty malt sweetness followed by some light hop bitterness and the yeasty finish. A pleasing strong ale with a medium to heavy body with ample carbonation and a slight alcohol burn. A good example of the style.

Bottle split the Andrew. Pours a hazy, cloudy orange body - pretty much flat at this point. Aroma is nice mixed fruis, honey and Belgian spice. Mouthfeel itill resembles the classic unibroue champagne spritzer texture, but a bit muted. Notes of fruit, honeysuckle, sweet malts, vanilla, and toast.

Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2011
This poured a very light brown to dark yellow, definitely cloudy too. Flavor was the same typical spices that are in all their beers, with some cardboard this time as well. Flavors in this one are really weak, light spices and alcohol with cardboard too. This one is definitely gone.

750ml bottle @RBSG-pours no head and yellow/gold color. Aroma is sweet light/medium malt, spice. Taste is spice/herbal hops, sweet light/medium malt. Alcohol.

MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUN 12, 2011
tepid gold, no head. Dusty wheat, honey, and sugar, stale with ethanol and cardboard. Flavor is ultra washed, grains indistinguishable, soft, light fruit sweetness. Think this one is gone at this point.
