Sham (1844) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 20, 2007
Mahogany with a frothy head and stringy lacing. Nose is full of yeast and malts. Some candy aromas and almost a touch of soda. Flavor is just a bit metallic. Not much, but just a hint of penny in the beginning there. Sweet caramel and brown sugar roll in next. This is definately a dessert beer. A bit of heat at the end as well.

PhillyCraft (7229) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 8, 2016
Backlog. Bottle split a few ways, pours amber orange with medium sized off white head. Smell is toast, honey, dark malt, and fruit. Flavor was the same with some plum, light spice, and caramel. Finish is a bit boozy even at 10. Ok

wchesser (2076) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JAN 18, 2016
12/09 bottle in 01/16. On it’s way out with some oxidation showing, but not done yet. Nose is burnt sugar and light yeast esters. Tastes like creme brûlée, with burnt caramel and a rich mouthfeel, with some cardboard starting to show, along with some light banana and clove.

alexsdad06 (10431) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - FEB 22, 2015
750 ml bottle from old notes. Pours a cloudy golden honey amber color with a medium plus sized creamy beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, Belgian yeast with that Unibroue character, citrus, berries, wood, mild spices, doughy bread, ok but not as good as some of their best.

3.5
Gription79 (2891) - Bountiful, Utah, USA - FEB 19, 2015
Poured from a 750ml bottle. This is a 2009 vintage. This beer is showing its age. The aroma is nutty, honey, soft cardboard, berries, phenolic yeast. The flavor is yeasty, honey, malty. The age/oxidation is much more prevalent in the flavor.

Bottle - Vintage 2009 - Molasses, berry, caramel and barrel notes. Clear gold with a rich whit head. Molasses, caramel, dark fruit and a nice sweet finish.

hopdog (12584) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 18, 2013
750ml caged and corked bottle. Poured an amber color with a smaller sized head. Yeasty and fruity.

3.9
Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 16, 2013
Pours thick amber murky sour mix in color with a creamy sandy head. Aroma and flavor bring some fruity Belgian yeast that settle easily on the palate. The body is slightly chalky at this age, almost 7 years. There are some tame zesty yeast notes as well, that have faded for sure.

Chipalsa (1310) - Florida, USA - JUL 25, 2013
This was a pretty damn good beer. It had that classic honey/yeasty malt aroma that makes Unibroue so damn good. The taste was sweet and bready with some more honey, yeast and sweet citrus. Undertones of dark fruits and brown sugar put it over the top for me.

OmegaX (1374) - Florida, USA - JUL 23, 2013
Thanks again, Keir. Nose is candied sugar, dark fruits, pear, melon, yeast, sweet malts. Flavor is mainly yeast, candied sugar, and light fruits. Very pleasant.

Vintage 2009 bottle. Awesome beer. Very sweet aroma and flavor, but don’t let this discourage you. Very easy to drink and ABV is undetectable. Very impressed with this one.
