Pours a hazy blonde color with a generous white head that dissipates relatively fast. Slightly malty aroma with hints of citrus and some yeast, although mildly aromatic. Slightly tart to start, definate malt in the middle, mellowing to a very smooth, clean finish. Extremely drinkable, good thing it is not more that 5% ABV or else you could put a serious hurtin' on yourself. A decent beer. happy4hops (376) - Bel Air, Maryland, USA - JAN 13, 2004
Had this on draft at Sean Bolans in Bel Air,MD.Poured in a corsendonk glass,Nice head, golden color w/some bubbles rising.Smells like a nice wit, tastes nice...Very smooth on draft where the bottled version is too sharp and acidic(3.1 in bottle)Unibroue is a brewer of some fine belgian style ales(this is not their best work).Hard to find on tap though. Pours a moderately hazy blonde color with a robust frothy white head. Aroma is somewhat lightmaybe a hint of citrus and yeast, but very faint if there is. Start is acidic with some maltiness in the middle. Finish is smooth and silky. Not a particular complex beer, but very drinkable. This thing goes down easier than a freshman girl at her first frat party. ghawener (1604) - Santa Tecla, EL SALVADOR - JAN 10, 2004
Bottle: falls short in taste as it has no real distinct character; bitterness comes through strongly and overpowers all else. Not impressed. raindog (560) - Evansville, Indiana, USA - JAN 5, 2004
Hazy pale. Fizzy, frothy head. Suprisingly head dies somewhat quick. Aroma of wheat, spice, yeast. Mouthfeel is very fizzy, although texture is not watery. Medium body. So,so flavors of wheat, yeast, some bittering. Finish is yeasty, with some straw. Doesn't linger very long. Very drinkable wit,but better are to be found.

I found this beer unmemorable and doubt that I would seek it out again. Unimpressive for a Belgian brew. nickchalk (229) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2003
Slightly hazy straw colour, foamy head. Aroma is faint, hay-like. The flavour is refreshing, balanced, some citrus. Overall a nice clean witbier, missing some funk. Draught. Prostman (1077) - Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 23, 2003
Pretty good and very much like Hoegaarden. Refreshing and nice for the Summer. jgb9348 (6186) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - DEC 15, 2003
Hazy golden coloured body with a super-dense white head. Mild aroma of green apples, coriander seed, curacao, yeast and plentiful malt. Medium to Light-bodied; Bubbly mouthful; Odd anise flavour initially, then fades to apples and white wine. Plentiful sweetness and clean tastes are witnessed throughout the entire lifecycle of this beer. Aftertaste is mild-not overpowering nor offensive. Overall, not the best Witbier in my mind, but actually not the worst Unibroue beers! I bought this twelve ounce bottle at Beers of the World in Rochester, New York and sampled it on 15-December-2003. It aroused my senses with the faint scent of apples & champagne, like your skin after an apple scented bubble bath. It appeared hazy, like melted butter. There were a few little bubbles around the edge of the glass. (Let it warm up a little) Mmm...it tastes like fruit, if fruit wasn't sweet. Very light, almost like nothing at all. I would gladly drink this everyday with lunch and never feel guilty. I'm quite stoked on this one, it's like the beer snob's light beer. Buy this for your girlfriend.
