Leighton (21299) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2010
Bottle shared at BCTC 2010. Pours a murky yellow with a modest, fading white head. Plenty of wheat in the aroma, along with tart citrus and coriander. Flavor is quite sweet, with more lemon and spice notes. Light to medium in body with high carbonation. Finishes sweet and lightly crisp. Not bad.

fiulijn (20516) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 14, 2002
Blond ale, froathy foam, big bubbles (yes, very far from Champagne perlage). Nice classic aroma for a wheat ale, ’spicy’. Classic taste, but light, more like a lager; rather poor taste and poor palate.

Aroma is from grapefruit and lemon with notes of malt and sweet fruit. Flavor is fruity. Quite mild and pleasant.

Sample at Aarhus beerfestival. Nice head with ok duration. Color is pale yellow. Aroma and taste are malt, yeast and citrus.

mcberko (17854) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 11, 2009
UPDATED: SEP 12, 2013 341mL bottle, pours a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is citrus and wheat - very subtle. Flavour is citrus and wheat, with not much creativity or anything special. Standard white beer. Not much more to say about this.

I’m really not enthused with this one. I find it too thin and spritzy, with not nearly enough spice, malt, or hop character.

TBone (17581) - Pori, FINLAND - AUG 28, 2005
Bottled (BB 12/2006)
Hazy yellow, medium-sized white head. Citrusy, lemony nose. Medium-bodied. Yeasty, wheaty with notes of coriander.

yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - FEB 24, 2009
Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours a hazy, yellow-golden body under a dense, creamy, white head. There’s a touch of tobacco on the nose, some pine, citrus, a little banana and spices. Quite complex. Banana and citrusy, along with coriander and other spices in the mouth, with a fine bitterness, showing all of itselves in the finish. Dry, medium-bodied, smooth and well-carbonated. A really pleasant witbier. (081229)

Pours nice and golden in glass with decent head. Very cloudy. Nose and taste of spices, soft wheats, some peel. Rated 1/15/2000

A: The beer pours a surprisingly translucent golden straw color with a white head. S: Certainly starts off with a nice witbier smell. Lots of coriander notes, banana, and orange peel. There’s some nice bready, wheat notes and a bit of sugar. Unfortunately, I pick up a cardboard aroma... T: The cardboard translates to the flavor, too. Sweet bread, banana, spicy coriander, earthy and floral hops, and slightly bitter orange peel. Pretty meh, I must say. M: The body is medium and so is the carbonation. D: I guess I shouldn’t be surprised, but this wasn’t a terribly good witbier (or beer in general).
