Bière blonde, presque orange, de 5 % d’alcool. Long col au versement. Elle possède un goût citronné, un peu de zest d’orange, à la limite on distingue un aspect floral dans le goût. Je reconnais même un goût de blanche. Excellente.

Leglome (11) - Trois-Rivieres, Quebec, CANADA - APR 9, 2013
Bouteil 341 ml.

pours a cloudy yellow-light orange. relatively thin head. aromas of melon, banana and spice. lots of fruity Belgian yeast, yet an unexpected bitterness in the finish. very refreshing beer and typical of Unibroue. similar, but probably not as flavourful as their Blanche de Chambly.

Unibroue is basically a Belgian stronghold in Canada. All of the beers I have had from them are delicious and hearkens back to my time spent in Brussels. This pale straw coloured beaut proffers up titillating notes of fresh orange, lemon zest, coriander, light crushed pepper, mild basement funk and a hint of cereal. If refreshing thirst destruction if what you crave than look no further, B de C holds it in spades. Shades of background tartness and spices keep this intriguing, well worth the price of admission.

341ml bottle from LCBO. 5% alc./vol. Pours an opaque deep gold colour with one finger of lasting head. Spicy aroma with notes of cloves, coriander, banana, and some citrus notes. Taste matches the aroma with some metallic notes and dry citrusy finish.

From Saveur Biere. In Grimbergen glass. Wartching Los Soprano 6x05-06. Not much sasion-esque, more lika a belgian pale ale. Plenty of apple and coriander notes. Pretty tasty for such a low abv. Nice carbonation

341mL bottle from Brou Ha-Ha. This was actually such an interesting beer, I have no idea where the mediocre rating is coming from. Poured a hazy yellow, small white head with dark floaties. Aroma has Unibroue yeast and lemony esters. Flavour is just the oddest mixed bag of unexpected things. Spritzy citrus like a Saison, Unibroue yeasty dryness, but also the kind of spicing you would expect from Pastrami meet? Plus some actual woddy bacon meat flavour? What? Sounds bizarre, yet it all worked somehow? Really tasty, just completely bizarre and unexpected. I would definitely buy this again and I’m disappointed I didn’t get more.

Draft at The Royale, served in a nice Boulevard tulip. Pours a hazy light gold color with some yellow and orange highlights and an inch of white head that settles, leaving lace in the glass. The aroma has wheat, lemon citrus, coriander, rosemary, orange, and apricot. Some bready and sweet malts back it up. Flavor has the same citrus fruit, bready malts, coriander and herbs. Medium-bodied, with a bready mouthfeel with nice herbal and citrusy character to balance and moderate carbonation. Excellent wheat ale. First time in a while I’ve had a Unibroue and it’s a good one.
