UPDATED: MAR 3, 2006 Bottle (750ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow, jerc and tupalev - my bottle, from turg. Poured black, with a decent off-white fizzy diminishing head. Aroma initially like a candy necklace, then grainy, then yeasty, then some smoky bitter dry roast malt emerged, with a hint of fruit. Taste was extremely weak - watery, slightly bitter, lightly roasty, but mostly just thin and nasty, and it gets less pleasant as it warms. Thin watery and fairly flat mouthfeel - this is a poor beer, not infected, just badly made, like an even lamer Chambly Noire. jercraigs (11087) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 24, 2006
Bottle. Black body, nice creamy tan head. Initial aroma of corn sugar-dextrose like candy, light smokey afterthought. Dry toasty flavour is akin to a dilute Chambly Noire at times. Light palate. Disappointing, but a treat to try.
