12 ounce bottle- my first thought on the appearance of this brew was, "It looks just like Coca-Cola". Same black red color same color and type of head, even the same amount of carbonation in evidence. Aroma gave away nothing other than some citrus, specifically citrus that had passed its prime. Taste was unremarkable it seemed confused with both coffee and citrus; the carbonation competing with each for an overall muddled taste. Palate was thin and again the high carbonation was a distraction. Skip it.

Pitch black in colour with head that disappears quickly. Caramel, toast and. roasted malt. Sweet on the tongue. Decent beer. the sauger (81) - Quebec, CANADA - JAN 4, 2017
Aroma quickly gone. Almost no head. Tastes like a watered down brown Belgian ale.

Black with rimming tan head; Aroma is grainy with yeasty notes; flava is part roasty part tart subtle wood and cherry notes hints of cigar; feels light with lively fizz; finishes dry roasty and mildly tart Bierdimpfe (640) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 13, 2016
Opaque dark brown, almost black color, with strong activity. Creamy and foamy sparkly light brown 3 finger island head, lasting around 20 minutes, with strong legs.
Pleasant floral and fruity nose. Flavors of toffee, grains, apricot, banana, coriander, clove, floral and herbal spices. Strong caramel and fruity sweetness creating a toasty and bread feel.
Milky light body with prickly carbonation. Faint and short finish, ending with a fruity and herbal spicy thick tongue feel. A little vinous and flat.
Overall a good craft with decent flavors, a fresh smell, and a superb look. A little stale and flat. Unbalanced being overly sweet with a weird rotten banana feel. stevoj (4954) - Boise, Idaho, USA - FEB 23, 2016
On tap at Pizza Paradiso- Dupont Circle. Treading the fine line between a black IPA and a dark saison. More tart than roasty, yeasty, smooth and slick. A real gender bender.
