I got this bottle in a trade with Wasatch. Thanks John!
Brr...it's really cold outside so I wanted to try something new that had a bit of strength to it. Here goes.
This pours from 12oz bottle a hazy light gold with a large and firm head of foam. The final pour and it turned totally cloudy(not a bad thing, in my book) and the foam "sticks" around for the entire session. Plenty of lacing too.
The smell is all fruity and nice. Notes of apricot and some malt followed by a bit of hops and some spice.
The taste has a tarty flavour of apricots up front with some very noticeable honey flavour. After another sip, I'm getting some spice like pepper and some wheat. Pretty good tasting but I think the honey is overdone and kind of reduces the drinkability factor for me. Yeah, I'm not a big fan of beers that have a honey presence.
It has a medium mouthfeel, the carbonation is fairly high, and it finishes on a fruity note. The alcohol is hidden very well for the abv. Not a bad brew.
Thanks again, John!
Ar: Clove, banana, and peach; apple, cinnamon, and grains of paradise; black pepper. Ap: Deep gold and hazy; medium-small white head with moderate-low retention, settling into a wafer of foam with some splotches and a fine, creeping ring. T: Clove and banana; medium sweetness; clean alcohol, a little floral and pineapplely in flavor; a bit of hay; apricot and orange peel; bitterness is high and very clean; finish is peach skins, moss, and black pepper. P: Medium body with very high carbonation; finish is dry. O: Excellent Belgian-style trippel; the yeast character is spot on; has a really nice freshness; spice character is really pronounced and bold, but not out of balance. higgsbison (271) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 21, 2017
A Belgian style beer, brewed Canada. You can taste the Belgium Yeast. The 9% alcohol content is well hidden. Much better once it hits room temperature. All in all An ok beer but to floral and fruity for me.

Bottled. The aroma is sweet and tart like peach. Hazy orange body with big white head. The taste is smooth with very fruity notes and a herbal finish.

Bottle best by 05/2018. Pours clear golden color, frothy white head. Aroma is strawberry, apple, banana, kinda like an estery smoothie, Belgian spice. Flavor is esters, banana, apple, pear, clove, lemon, wheat, spice, little sugary sweet a little astringent, overly carbed as it goes. Not bad but not my favorite. But it does grow on me as I drink it more. Not bad. Stampion (288) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - AUG 25, 2017
Bottle from a variety pack. Well balanced. Slightly spicy, sweet malts, toast, banana. Not overly boozy, but you can taste the 9%.

Bottle, 9%. Hazy golden with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, yeast, spices, wheat and notes of banana. Flavour is malt, yeast, spices, wheat, sweet, warming, notes of banana and medium bitter. Luneylane (249) - Taipei City, TAIWAN - AUG 3, 2017
a gift from my colleague on return from leave in Canada, thanks James. Aroma: flowers and bread. Appearance: hazy amber, pours a mountain of bubbles, rapidly dissipating to nothing. Palate: medium-bodied and slick, soft carbonation, sweet at the finish. At 9%, booze well-hidden. Taste: heavily sweet, tastes like a superior 1970s era homebrew. Good, but too sweet for me - plus at 9% and coming in a 750ml. bottle, this is practically a sesson in a bottle [!]
