Bottle. Hazy dark golden with pretty white head and decent lacing. Smells like cotton candy, lemon, and spice. Tastes sweet then sour then spiced. With a sweet and dry finish.

A Belgian style beer, brewed Canada. You can taste the Belgium Yeast. The 9% alcohol content is well hidden. Much better once it hits room temperature. All in all An ok beer but to floral and fruity for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled. The aroma is sweet and tart like peach. Hazy orange body with big white head. The taste is smooth with very fruity notes and a herbal finish.

Bottle best by 05/2018. Pours clear golden color, frothy white head. Aroma is strawberry, apple, banana, kinda like an estery smoothie, Belgian spice. Flavor is esters, banana, apple, pear, clove, lemon, wheat, spice, little sugary sweet a little astringent, overly carbed as it goes. Not bad but not my favorite. But it does grow on me as I drink it more. Not bad.

Bottle from a variety pack. Well balanced. Slightly spicy, sweet malts, toast, banana. Not overly boozy, but you can taste the 9%. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A very nice beer, from the sampler 6-pack. Very high quality beer. A great value/price.

Bottle, 9%. Hazy golden with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, yeast, spices, wheat and notes of banana. Flavour is malt, yeast, spices, wheat, sweet, warming, notes of banana and medium bitter.

a gift from my colleague on return from leave in Canada, thanks James. Aroma: flowers and bread. Appearance: hazy amber, pours a mountain of bubbles, rapidly dissipating to nothing. Palate: medium-bodied and slick, soft carbonation, sweet at the finish. At 9%, booze well-hidden. Taste: heavily sweet, tastes like a superior 1970s era homebrew. Good, but too sweet for me - plus at 9% and coming in a 750ml. bottle, this is practically a sesson in a bottle [!]

Bottle served in a glass, this beer was a light to medium yellow-gold with a hint of orange, a creamy nice white cover, a little haze, there was nice spots, fingers and partial rings of lacing on the glass, the nose had yeast, bread malt, pear, a little apple and faint banana, light orange and lemon like citrus notes, after the beer sat a bit, the fruit notes grew and the yeast and bready malt took a back seat, some floral hints and faint perfume hops in the background, the flavors were pear and banana fruit, light malt, faint orange citrus, the finish had a light spice with a touch of pepper, some apple tartness, flavors of pear fruit with some apple, a hint of banana, light malt and bread, a little orange skin and citrus, there was light pepper at the finish with a little citrus, the mouth feel was light with generous carbonation, it felt creamy on the mouth, I found the nose to be more interesting the flavor, a very nice drink.

Funny I had never reviewed this before, I swears I had drank plenty of these during the Vancouver days. Any given BC liquor store, Unibroues on the shelves, pick them and pay a few bucks and at least you were a little more sophisticated than the Molson’s crowd getting their two-four’s in for the weekend. Sure, not the same as a full fledged "craft" beer but these were the early days, times were heady, life was young and good and beer snobs were still kind of a thing in the future. Like that dork who, in London England last year, decided to go into sprawling detail about the history and meaning behind the revitalized "Gose" style. Like, dude, fuck, I’m here to draink and eat piss-ah wid’ me mates, fook yur lecture. Great that Gose came back, but silliiously, it ain’t my vibe. So. I crack open the cap on this one, having found it in Montréal at least a good decade before I had drank it last. And serioumigioulously - why is they’s so obsessed with presenting this beer and parading the nine-percent nonsense around? But this, when poured properly, is essentially perfect in the glass with growing head and a glowing orange body, rind and carbonation, like weeo0w sometimes people do get it right. The aroma is heavy coriander and swamp funk but in a good way - balanced and rough, like a Jackson Pollock, you get a good feel of the ingredients alongisde a heavy yeasty finish. The flavour is heavy coriander with some wheat funk, and yeasty sharpness, damn it’s good. Crisp finish. Another beast of a beer from Unibroue. Sure, sometimes they miss the finesse and some of the lager-weynies might get all weak in the kness with this stuff but I love it - rough, harsh, messy, an honest expression of a beer. And damned drinkable nonetheless, especially on a fine saturday night when The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is on the DVR. Sahwheat fo shizzle. Give it a spin.

Bottle shared by a friend. Clear amber pour with a thick white head. Nose of malt, banana, fig and slight citrus. Sweet malt and banana flavor with light citrus before a sweet and slightly boozy finish.
