Bouteille. [notes 2005] djd07 (15342) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 28, 2016
Bottle. Pours a cloudy brown with small beige head. The aroma is belgian yeast, apple skin, spice. Medium mouth, dark fruit, brown sugar, spice, boozy finish, very good. bhensonb (15621) - Woodland, California, USA - DEC 14, 2014
From 2010 file notes. This before I was into Belgians. Poured dark brown with big head. Strange spicy aroma. Tastes spicy and malty. (Think some of this idea has gotten into a few TJ’s yearly ales) Helsdon (423) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2014
Wow what a great beer. Shared by my brother-in-law, thanks R. Poured a hazy orange-brown with a some white head. Noses of orange, lemons, mint. Tastes similarly of citrus, a mild minty freshness that didn’t linger, honey and Belgian yeast. Creamy mouthfeel. A very delicious, refreshing, very unique beer. Of course you can’t get it anymore. Le sigh. johnnnniee (4405) - Bedford, New Hampshire, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Bottle shared by Todd last night.
Slightly hazy copper brown color with a smallish head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is filled with overpowering spices atop a faint brown sugary caramel malt base. The flavor is not a bit different. Medium to thick body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a sweet spicy mouthfeel. Not bad for a ten year old beer, but too heavy on the spicing for my taste

Pours amber with no head. Aroma is of spices, caramel, sugar, mint. Taste is of caramel, alcohol, malt, spices, sugar, cardboard. Palate: Medium body. Overall: Good, but over the hill. tom10101 (6228) - Quebec, CANADA - DEC 29, 2013
Bottle (750 ml). Acquired via trade. Clear dark golden with no head and no lacing. Aroma is spicy, sweetness notes, mint, chocolate, cardboard and Madeira. Taste is slightly sweet with mint, fruits, cardboard and chocolate. Medium body. Low carbonation. This beer was supposed to have been well stored but that’s doubtful considering how bad it was. Definitely past is prime. Damico (3147) - Royersford, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 16, 2013
Pours somewhat murky amber golden with a white head. The aroma brings sweet Belgian yeast, big apple juice notes. The flavor some spicy yeast notes, clearly aged, and a bit of spicy malts, almost liqueurish. Chipalsa (1310) - Florida, USA - JUL 25, 2013
Though a bit off, twas’ still a good brew. The pour was a brilliant orange with soft bubbles and a good ol’ Belgian head. It smelled like spiced orange bread. The taste was oxidated Belgian beer with a finish of old orange soda. Still pretty damn good, but because of the age and non-synthetic cork, perhaps a vacuum seal would do this longtime cellar-aged beer some good. OmegaX (1375) - Florida, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Bottle thanks to Keir. Cheers! Nose is light soda, sherry notes, melon, citrus, light yeast. Flavors are mainly the same with a more dark fruit and unripe melon flavor. Very soft carbonation. Not bad but definitely oxidized.
