Bottle. Light golden color with decent size white head. Aroma of apple cider. Tastes extremely appley and a bit sweet. Not my cup of tea.

Boutip (6130) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 6, 2003
Bottle: It pourred a light brew with a faint smell of cider. Huge head with good retention skill. Lot of carbonnation and the usual wheat taste from Unibroue. The spice and apple aroma are too faint and therefore this probably my least favorite from the Ephemere series. I did notice that it is better when drank warm. The sour taste of apple is accentuated. Note: I once drank this on tap and it was way better but can't find it on tap anywhere now.

boto (2152) - Granby, Connecticut, USA - DEC 5, 2003
Bottle: A very interesting beer. It pours a hazy yellow color with a huge, frothy white head. Sour apples to the nose, as well as some spiciness. The taste is of apple, a bit of wheat, some breadiness, a hair sweet to the taste as well as the sour apple taste. An interesting change of pace, but I couldn't drink many at one time.

Jayb0 (1177) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - DEC 5, 2003
Very nice beer. Strong tart apple nose with spritzy white head. Pale gold and slightly hazy, although clearing. The strong apple in the nose disappears up front giving way to malt and light spiciness, perhaps some wheat character. Apple sweetness returns towards the finish delivering a slight lingering sweetness.

BeerLimey (2154) - California, USA - DEC 3, 2003
Very pale, clouded yellow appearance, good head formation. Sweet apple juice aroma, sugarry, mildly woody. Spritzy effervescent palate, light and drinkable. Sweet appley flavor predominant, citrussy and minty with a little peppery spice. Dry and crisp in the finish with faint lingering appley sugar notes in the aftertaste.

drinkbeer (283) - Redondo Beach, California, USA - NOV 30, 2003
Not a bad fruit beer. Apple is not overbearing, and the brew as a whole isn't overly sweet, which is good. A nice change from what you have been drinking.

Bottle. A light golden color with a foamy white head. The aroma is filled with apples, pear, and spice that blends well with the "beer flavors."

r464 (2348) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2003
Light gold in color witha fruity aroma. Barely tart taste, though not very strong. Light smooth and fruity finish. Presence of spice is light in the aroma, stronger on the finish.

   AROMA 9/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 2/5   OVERALL 14/20
BückDich (5464) - McCall, Idaho, USA - NOV 26, 2003
Golden pale color with light foaming and a little lacing. Aroma is full of apples at first, bitter green apples, but fades to soft hop smell with a light bretty aroma and a little citrus to boot (no pun). Flavor is slightly sulfuric and acidic but finishes rather smooth with a more or less "apple" feel to it.

   AROMA 6/10   APPEARANCE 3/5   TASTE 6/10   PALATE 4/5   OVERALL 13/20
Sham (1844) - Seattle, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2003
Pours hazy pale yellow, almost a hint of green showing through. Small head and some lacing. Apples, cinnamon, and a touch of yeast or bread are present in the nose. Flavor is a bit different. The presence of apples is not so prominent here. More of the bread or yeast flavors stand out. A bit of a champagne like palate (full of bubbles,) and it finishes with a bite of alcohol at the end.
