Small shortlasting head. Aroma is sweet black currants, berry skin, sugar, soda powder. Taste is watery, berry skin, hay, grass, black currants, chalk. Medium bitterness, very thin body. Fair enough, but it could have been so much better.
Poured from 750mL bottle. Clear salmon pink colour with white head with a slightly pink hue. Black currant aroma. Black currant with some light yeast with medium body. Very nice texture, not sweet. Easy drinking. RobertDale (6383) - Lansing, Kansas, USA - JUL 11, 2013

Violet avec une col moyenne violet. L’arôme de cassis et levure Unibroe. Le goût est d’abord cassis, ensuite un peu acidulé. Le goût des fruits n’est pas aussi présent que les autres bières Éphémère. Jesterdeal (1985) - Marlton, New Jersey, USA - JUN 24, 2013
Aroma is blackcurrant in all of its understated glory. Hints of mulberry and black cherries. Pours ugly hazy purple with a good fizzy head. Taste is pretty much what I expected. A good cassis flavor without being overly fruity. This however makes this a very mild beer. Perfect for summer drinking but not too interesting. 750ml - pours pinkish amber with plenty of lightly ping head. Nose is blackcurrant and dusty. flavor adds bread. Acidic. Sweet and a tad tart. Mild for a Unibroue. Tame for a fruit beer. Refreshing. It basically drinks itself. Metallic aftertaste. mikey (503) - farmington, Utah, USA - MAY 20, 2013
The nose is dominated here by black current and hints of funky yeast in the background. The black current found in the nose is really mellowed-out in the taste. Not nearly as sweet as I was expecting it to be; actually quite enjoyable. More of the essence of real black currents as opposed to a manufactured candy taste. This is not a complex beer; it pretty much only features black currants with hints of malt beneath. As fruity beers go, it’s quite nice. rwgould (331) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 9, 2013
750ml bottle from Liberty Wines. Thanks Angela! Pours a cloudy orange with a tiny white head. Aroma: Hay, grapes, raspberries. Smells very sweet, slightly sour. Palate: medium bodied, fizzy, long, slightly dry finish. Taste: Not as sweet as it smells, hints of sourness, and a hint of bitterness.
