Base beer is incongruent base beer, with something not so drinkable the elderberry. Minimal drinkability. Slight purple colour.

Bright red pour, puffy light pink head. The nose is light grainy malts, floral, perfume, berry notes. Mild sweetness, light tartness and mild acidity. Body is light, not too much carbonation. Was hoping for more intensity. Berry notes; much like strawberry. Overall a decent beer.

Metalchopz (3683) - Cantley, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 7, 2018
Pours a cloudy red colour with a caramel hue. The head is a light pink-purple colour with average retention and minimal lace. Berry aromas with some sourness and sweetness from the Belgian Ale yeast. The berry taste is a mix of blackberries and strawberries with the sourness a little lighter in the background. Hints of mint in the finish, and tart on the tongue lingers. Not bad at all, but like most last Ephemere beers, wish they were just a tad stronger in taste. Nice to have this as a sour beer over the overused recently popular Brett-style beers.

(Bottle) clear, bright red colour with a small pink head; aroma of sour fruit; creamy palate; balanced flavour with a long, very light bitter finish

Great aroma. Very fruity. not too sweet. Had at christmas time, but tastes like the holidays.

UPDATED: JAN 21, 2018 Bottle, shared at rehearsal. Lively pour, hazy heliotrope hue. Wheaty and lightly estery with pleasant perfumey berry character and a dry finish. I was in the mood for this.

Bottle from mixed 12 pack. Pours an insane amount of foamy pinkish head that goes away after a little while. Has a cloudy ruby appearance. Excessive carbonation. Aromas of yeast, berries, floral and little perfumy. Flavours are mostly fruity, lots of berries, mainly the elderberries but also kind of a bit of strawberries. Sourness in the finish. Fizzy and bubbly mouthfeel. Not bad but prefer the other versions of Ephemere

Pours a light cranberry colour with barely any head. Aroma has notes of berries, and grapes. Tasting notes include berries, grapes, and some wine notes. Finish is dry, with no lingering aftertaste. Not bad!

Pretty strong fruit flavoring. Wouldn't have known an elderberry if it flew in my face but I can sure give a taste now. Still a good drink and refreshing like a wine cooler from back in the day. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.5
luttonm (6979) - Seattle, Washington, USA - SEP 30, 2017
Bottle in Seattle. Rather soft ring of foam on a pretty, dark pink and purple body. Perfumed berry aroma, dark and lightly tart fruit. Light cranberry impression on the sip, as well as black currant tea, before a light creamy wheat base. Aroma and first hint of fruit on sip are nice but it devolves a bit beyond that. Fairly simple, but solid. if not rather weak flavors and impression overall. A bit wattery in flavors.
