Hazy orange w/ fluffy white head. Yeast, spice, light fruit (pears, apples?), & spice on the nose. Medium body w/ good carbonation. Yeasty flavour that is dry & mildly acid. Also notes of wheat & sweet fruit. A refreshing summer beer.

Clear light amber/orange, champagne-bubbly, huge head that will not die. Weak sweetish, slightly yeasty aroma doesn't do much. Flavor -- yeah, its got maple, I dunno what else; I'm not getting any complexity or anything of real interest. Maybe I've just had too many damn maple-flavored thingies living here in VT or something. Anyway, this ain't doing it. OK body, drinkable, but not up to Unibroue standards IMHO.

DougShoemaker (3146) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 28, 2003
Yeast, citrus and spice nose, hazy peach colour, white creamy head, quite a stream of bubbles, fair lacing. Yeast, apricot, and corriander flavours meld nicely. Zesty, dry finish, pleasing tongue tingle. Good offering, seems like a weak Belgian.

Radek Kliber (7483) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - APR 6, 2003
Typical to Belgian ale aroma but maybe with something that is not that usual - green apple. Sweet and soft. Very refreshing. Kicks your taste buds with lively taste. Goes down a bit like sparkling vine with yeasty background. Maybe not to complex as some other Belgians but above average in freshness. Very light.

Orange-amber in colour. Large head. Aroma is citrus, sweet, yeast. Taste of yeast, apples. Finishes spicy and dry.

UPDATED: APR 19, 2004 (750ml bottle) I dont have much to compare this beer to because I haven't much experience with fruit beer but let me tell you that it wasn't the highlight of my New Year's Eve. Tasted like a very watery Belgium beer. My 8-pack came with a total of four flavours so hopefully one of them will make their transport over land and sea worth it...

SimonPatrice (312) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 1, 2002
Hazy amber, big fluffy head. Sweet aroma, peaches sprinkled with maple sugar. A nice mix of sweetness and a bit of acidity.

Unrequited citrus fruit in cookie dough…Faint maple syrup (it is said to have been brewed with it) and good Unibroue yeast…An experiment…

Golden coloured. Hazy. Very lively, complex and estery, light to medium bodied. Good beer!

The one time I have had the pleasure to taste this beer I decided that it was basically perfect. Very intriguing character with the perfect amount of residual sweetness to carry off a miraculous creation.
