341 ml bottle. Pours a really dark and cloudy liquid. Good carbonation and foamy head. Very good belgian Ale. Malty notes. Caramel finish. Between this one and the Irrésistible Blonde, my pick goes for this one. Really nice. blankboy (7735) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 31, 2006
Bottle shared with and courtesy of HogTownHarry. Pours a cloudy dark brown with an average size lasting foamy off-white head. Slightly mild aroma of yeast, malt, spices and fruit -- quite nice. Flavour of yeast and malt is spicy with a hint of dark fruit and is very enjoyable. Medium bodied. Not in the top Unibroue beers but this is still quite good and underrated in my opinion. Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy, my bottle via trade with turg. Poured cloudy brown with a solid foamy-creamy tan head. Funky, yeasty aroma of roast caramel/brown sugar malt, raisins and spices, with some mild grain and grassy hops in there too - very pleasing. Flavour is a decent brown sugar malt backbone, with muted spices and yeast, some fruit (apple, raisin, pear) - a decent, if soft, attempt at a Belgian brune. Mouthfeel is creamy, a little on the still side, syrupy and has a decidedly sweet finish - pretty nice, I’d drink this again for sure (we liked it more than the blonde). turg (156) - Quebec, CANADA - JAN 26, 2006
Bottle 341 ml: Appearence: Dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma: yeasty, fruity. Flavor: fruity, yeasty, spice. Quevillon (3143) - Boisbriand, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 15, 2006

Another well known beer in Quebec. I’m taking advantage of the recent online tasting session that i had to rate it.
Dark brownish/nutish color (not black!). Dark fruits aroma. High carbonation, but still lower to the blonde. light body, thin feel, abrupt finish. A little boring overall
2004 bottle aged consumed on 11/12/05. Tons of carbonation, still, with a chestnut (dark) colored body. Transparent at the top (very settled out), but moving to lightly hazy as the sediment from the bottom is mixed in (not intentionally). Head is a light, light mocha-white and is well-retained. Aroma is dry, lighter than expected, with a surprising floral hops note being the most prominent thing I pick up on. Soft, even, Unibroue yeast. Only a bit of light toffee and very light cola-like notes. Drinking it begins with a soft, velvety mouthfeel and lightly sweet vegetal notes. Some light chocolate cola notes with light vanilla and dry yeast. Very wheaty, overall. Eases in to some soft toffee covered raisins. Very gentle mouthfeel. Yeast is dry, but clean. Vegetal nature passes. Very light alcohol apparency. Medium to medium-light body. Light brown breadiness on the end, with a touch of spicy esters. A classic Dunkelbelgianweizen. albert007 (415) - Penobsquis, New Brunswick, CANADA - SEP 13, 2005
Bottle. Brown with orange highlights nice little tan head. Roasty cinnamon toast & butter-like aroma. Flavor is fruity dry raisins with notes of licorice. Nice bodied beer. Good bitter finish. rederic (3340) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 31, 2005
Dark brown color, with a frothy tan-colored head, with yeasty, fruity, dark malt, raisin and chocolatey nose, follows through on a medium-bodied palate with dark malt, yeasty, fruity of figs, dates, dry raisins, hint of molasses, chocolatey note, leading towards a malty warmth alcoholic finish. Deep mahogany body, tan head. A step up from its blonde counterpart with nice banana, chocolate, and fruit flavors. Still a bit light and also somewhat dry. HIgher carbonation. Pretty nice though.
